Da Lucio

Really don’t get it. Lot of ppl say they really like it but had very soggy pizza, mediocre service, & a long wait. My friend’s pizza was also soggy. We were confused. Maybe it was a bad night, but I wouldn’t go back. Not worth it.

My favourite Italian restaurant ever! Family run Da Lucio’s never fails to serve traditional, hearty and totally mouth-​watering food. All of the waiters are friendly and will happily recommend dishes for you.
Must try dish: Orrechiette con Broccoli e Salamino — Broccoli & spicy salami in a tomato & cream sauce with fresh basil. It’s one of the best pasta dishes I’ve tried.

This is easily the best restaurant in Surbiton. The tables are packed quite close together and the inside space is a little cramped, so if you want something especially intimate you might have to try elsewhere. But the food is absolutely amazing, and reasonably priced. Ideal for a first date.
Make sure you book, as this restaurant is popular on the weekends.

Best hang over breakfast in the world :)

Having just moved into the area, we were wandering around Maple Road looking at all the little independent restaurants deciding which one to try first. Da Lucio got the nod, being very busy and friendly looking.
We had a short wait for a table inside (it was getting a little too chilly to sit out, and you’re basically just sat on the pavement) but soon got seated. The tables are, for an Italian, typically close together and the restaurant noisy with chitter-​chat (perhaps a little too noisy).
The service was somewhat erratic, we got brought another table’s meals initially and the table next to ours had their orders forgotten.
We had a pizza and Cannelloni, both of which were good. We shared a Espresso Crème Brûlée for desert which was delicious, although it appeared they had forgotten to blow-​torch the brown sugar on top of it.
All in all a nice little place, that would be greatly improved with a little more care and organisation.

This is a fantastic Italian. Best in the area. Love the food, great family run business. Good value for money. YOu have to book though this is a very popular place.

Lovely local Italian Restaurant. Glad to have this in the neighborhood. Authentic Food, fresh ingredients and good service. Extremely popular, bookings recommended if you want to go in the evening.
