Large two bar pub just two minutes from Surbiton station. Great for a quick drink solo or a longer session with friends. Full range of beers from Fuller’s and Gales. The Gales Seafarer went down well. God choice of food but as expected it is expensive. Friendly staff and the customers are OK. Parking is difficult if coming by car you will have to search the side roads.

Great pub for any occasion. Conveniently placed for an after work drink as you exit the train station or great to visit with friends and family at the weekend. I have had a few meals here and they have all been amazing. From the roast dinners to the ribs! Definitely recommend for a nice drink and bite to eat.

Just met for a quick after work drink with a friend. Seems like a nice place, friendly bar staff, extensive menu that looked very tasty, but most importantly. Doggy Friendly! Any pub that let’s in my pooch is a good un in my book. Also really close to the station, so super convenient. Only four stars because I can’t comment on how good the food was. Maybe next time :)

A few of my hockey team and I were invited to one of our team-mate’s wedding yesterday and the groom suggested popping in here for a few drinks before we arrived at the evening reception. This pub’s main selling point is that it’s easy to find — right opposite Surbiton train station. As most of the guys arrived by train, it was ideal. For a Saturday night, it wasn’t overly busy. I would describe the décor as modern with floorboards and bookshelves with real books on them. It was hard to judge the clientele as they ranged from us in our smart wedding gear through to what appeared to be a fancy dress party with guests dressed as peas in a pod and nursery rhyme characters! My fellow hockey players seemed to be happy with the range of ales on tap. However, the pub doesn’t really cater well for non-drinkers like me. They only sold those stupid tiny bottles of fruit juice where 4 gulps empties a bottle. Come on, guys, get in some decent sized bottles of stuff like J20. Anyway, it did prove a pleasant place for some pre-wedding beverages.

I used to like this pub when it first opened a few years ago. In the last couple of years, I think it’s changed hands at least 3 times. It used to be the only place in Surbiton you could get a pint of San Miguel on tap. The current Landlord has gotten rid of that, and put the prices up. At £3.90 for a pint of Amstel it rates as one of the most expensive pubs in Surbiton. The décor is pretty good, with a range of easy chairs and both tall and short tables. They also do specialty evenings like karaōke nights during the week. It’s right outside the front of the railway station, so it’s a convenient place to meet, but the place is just let down by the high prices.
