Big Yellow

I tryed to get these people to read a Unilocal review, all I got was a call centre.
Customer feedback not required then?

Big Yellow bring to mind the worst excesses of Ryanair. The big yellow warehouse sign just next to Tesco seemed friendly enough and I found the website quite easily.
I should have been a little suspicious from the website — they seemed reluctant to give you a quote straight off but demanded various bits of personal information first. Then the website crashed when I was attempting to reserve a room resulting in me ordering 2 rooms and 2 deposits being taken.
On arrival at the warehouse, the manager was friendly enough but it soon became clear that the price quoted isn’t the price you will end up paying — grrrrrr!!! Compulsory insurance, compulsory dust sheet for the floor, compulsory lock for the door to their specification. You also only have access to your room between very restrictive hours unless you pay an upgrade for extended hours.
They also demand that you set up a direct debit with your bank in case you overstay.
The room itself and the facility was fine but hey, how hard is it to provide an empty room? Not impressed with all the hidden costs.
