This is one of the very best restaurants in the area, my wife and I enjoy the wonderful food and friendly service on a regular basis. Take away is very good too. I would particularly recommend the Chef’s special Karahi.

Great Indian restaurant. Have been coming here for many many years and in over 20 has changed hands once. Has a great menu with some excellent curries and some innovative ‘fusion’ dishes which present great taste combinations. Excellent fish curries, also a great crab chilli masala! Duck manchuri must be tried for a mix of sweetness and distinct flavours. Give them at least a days notice and they’ll make a super Kurzi lamb — a whole leg marinated and slow cooked on the one. Perfect for a celebration! I get many take always from here too — a great treat for a Friday night!

Offering ample seating, a diverse range of Indian dishes and an efficient, friendly takeaway service, this family-owned, family-oriented Tandoori restaurant is deservedly popular amongst locals and an excellent place to sample some high quality Indian Cuisine. If you’re planning on eating in, Saturday nights are probably best avoided, as Indus gets busy very quickly after 7pm, but on the occasions you are lucky enough to get a table, this Eastern wonder delivers fantastic customer service and very well-priced, great tasting food. Cobra and Kingfisher are served on draught and the waiters are all charming, relaxed and polite. Even if you’re just using the restaurant’s takeaway service, staff are always inviting upon collection and deliverymen always ensure your food is with you within 25 minutes of ordering. I would highly recommend the restaurant’s luscious Tarka Dal. It’s by far the best I’ve ever tasted.

The last time I went to Indus was a couple of years ago. That time as in times before I greatly enjoyed the low lighting the warm décor traditionally Indian, the exotic fish in fish tanks with Indian music all setting an authentic experience as if you had been transported to India. Now it has been gutted and is now an ultra modern faceless place with no identity whatsover it could have been a restaurant offering the food of any nationality. Commercial radio playing annoying songs in amongst talk. plain tables ultra modern abstract paintings no sculptures, tanks, music or anything Indian. Service was from uninterested why do we have to work today staff serving very small portions of Butter Chicken which was spicy deep red and ChickenTikka Bhuna so mild it was tasteless. half the portions of anywhere else I have ever been and half that of a take away. So to summarise, unattentive staff, horrible atmosphere, tacky radio playing and expensive small portions… never again. it was my Mom‘s 80th they were told this and did not care a damn… horrible place I could not wait to leave.
