Nandos

When the signs went up that Sutton Coldfield was going to be getting a Nandos I was excited. I’d no longer have to drive to the Fort in order to get my fix of Peri-​Peri! Since it opened, I have been to this restaurant 4 or 5 times and every time I’ve come away slightly disappointed.
Now let’s be clear, the staff here are fantastic. The first week it opened, serving was slow but as they’ve gotten used to the layout and processes the speed of service has improved. The staff are super friendly and almost seem to defy gravity in their customer service. So you might think that my 2 stars are unwarranted; but I have my reasons for such a low score.
The chefs seem to think that when I ask for «extra hot» I really mean «Lemon & Herb». Must be something to do with winks and handshakes? But in any case, the spice is no-​where near enough; case in point — my 20 month-​old was able to eat my chicken! Twice that I’ve been here, the soft-​drinks machine hasn’t been working (not acceptable for a 3 month old restaurant!). Also, I’ve received incorrect items everytime I’ve been so far.
It’s a shame but I think after my most recent visit, I will go back to travelling to the Fort for my marinated chicken.

Nandos in Sutton Coldfield! After the agonising wait it’s here! First thing to say is the décor is great, they made use of the oddly shaped building! The service was a bit slow to begin with but seems to be getting better. The staff are friendly and they’ve been kind enough to offer free snacks if the wait has been long. As far as food quality goes it is the Nandos quality you can expect. More extra extra hot sauce please!

As Nandos go you cant go wrong right!
This is a new restaurant for Sutton so I will reserve judgment for a few months.
