Chococo

This review is in reference to the Winchester location and it is freaking fantastic! Their chocolate is divine and they even have yummy coffee pairings. Darling staff make you feel right at home. Visit and you won’t regret it!

This place is a chocoholics paradise.
Set away from the main Swanage high street, this café also has a viewing area where you can see the chocolate being made.
This is not a standard café — nothing on the menu is savory, it’s all about the puddings.
Milkshakes, cakes and ice cream sundaes are the order of the day, all served with lashings of chocolate.
Also, on those few summery days we have it’s worth noting that the air conditioning is brilliant, so the chocolate is eaten at the optimimum temperature and you leave feeling cooler, more relaxed and more than a little full.

Endorse Sarahs999 enthusiasm. And now they’ve expanded sideways and have a café with good tea and coffee (fairtrade, sicilian roasted), lots of choccy drinks (try the chilli), and a selection of home made cakes etc. Again, with the accent on choccywocky. And, and — ice cream sundaes… fondues…milkshakes. Plus, of course, you can eat chocs — they even came round with ‘tasters’. On second thoughts, better for your wallet and figure to just watch them making the chocs through the windows of the factory opposite! It’s hard to find — look for signs, or ask someone.

Want to drool uncontrollably at the sight of an indecent amount of chocolate packed into one small shop? Come to Chococo. Situated in a funny little side street in Swanage, the tiny shop is opposite the Chococo factory, so the air is thick with cocoa and vanilla scents. The chocolates they make are delicious, handmade, unusual and award-​winning. You can buy lovely moulded sea shells, or take away a selection box of their best sellers. We treated ourselves TWICE at this shop while we were on holiday in Dorset last year (well, it was raining constantly and we needed cheering up). The only thing I would say is that they are not cheap, so if you’re feeling credit crunched its probably best to avoid. But do have a look at their website — they do mail order. Mmmmm
