Asda Stores

We only ever go out of town to Swanley to visit the swimming pool and flumes White Oak Leisure Centre (
) Swanley is a ghost town with a massive Asda dumped in the middle. Nowhere for coffee not even a chain and the lunch choices are grim. We always shop here when we visit the pool on the walk back to the station and as a cheap supermarket its fine. Large with abroad choice they just don’t sell enough nice things. Its spacious and I can see why people would do their weekly shop here just not for me even if we lived close by.

This store is very local to me. It is situated in the centre of Swanley. It has 2 car parks. Once at either end. The larger car park, in my opinion does not have enough parent and child spaces though and it is very rare to get a space there unless you wait for ages and ages. I have also noticed on a few occassions that people park there with no child in sight — this needs to be addressed because it is very difficult to get a car seat or toddler out of an ordinary car park space without hitting the car next to you with your door!
The store itself is good though. They have everything you need, from food, George clothing, electrics to a bakery section, fish counter and many more. The staff always seem friendly.
It does get exceptionally busy there though, especially on a wednesday when it is market day — which is located directly in front of the store. The Q’s for the car park on this day can be an absolute nightmare but overall a good store.

The shop itself is very good with good disabled facilities, an opticians, a large clothing section and a great dvd, entertainment section. Lots of helpers to aid you with shopping, wheelchairs and scooter free loan. Good selection of foods and a well stocked drink aisle. Entry from both ends of the store and 2 car parks. Avoid on Wednesdays as this is market day and you’ll never get parked, I queueded an hour last week to get in to park. The area can be a little er rough but as long as you keep yourself to yourself and get on with your shopping I’d say it’s a good place to go.

Where do I start! Beware first of all, I have my purse stolen here a couple of years ago. There are some very unsavoury people who shop here, not a very pleasant shopping experience. The actual supermarket is fantastic. It has a bakery section, fresh, fish and meat counters, it even has a pizza counter where you can have a pizza made up the way you want it. There is a big clothes section and home ware bits. The car park on the post office end of the store is absolutely awful if you have to push a trolley. The walk way down the side of the store to the car park is pitched so you have to fight with your trolley to keep steering forwards. This must be a nightmare for the elderly as it is enough of a problem to me and I am healthy.

Situated in the centre of Swanley, this 24hr superstore is easily accessible to all and has plenty of free parking located on both sides. The store boosts an instore photo lab, an opticians and a restaurant, aswell as the food halls, a clothing section, toy department, bakery and entertainment section offering a choice of music/​dvd/​gaming paraphenailia aswell as bigger electrical items. Prices are very reasonable, staff are friendly and helpful but queuing to pay can be a bit of a wait as its always pretty busy, especially on wednesday when Swanley town centre plays host to a large market.

This branch of asda is in the centre of Swanley. The store has a large carpark but it is full of inconsiderate drivers and parkers. Inside the store is not much better, most customers show little regard for each other.
The store offers food, clothes and electrical goods at cheap prices, but given the ordeal you have to go through to shop there I would not recomend it. The store is however spacious and laid out well and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Outside there are cash points.

Good 24 hour Asda. Has a clothes, opticians, and photo lab. All the staff have that ‘friendly asda approach’.
Always seems to be fully stocked. I wouldn’t do a full shop after 9pm as the isles seems to be usually full with cages and pallets!

this is one of the best asda stores i ha been 2 lots of choice and low prices. the clothes section is fab and reasonably priced.
