Went to Sunday carvery here and the chef was very nice and friendly! Visiting from the states, I’ve found that not many people are that friendly at pubs here, but the chef serving the food was super nice :)

I previously wrote a wonderful review for this establisment, but after what I experienced today I can no longer recommend it. My family attended the cross keys inn today along with my one year old neice and her mother who is african. The establisment had no issue with my family going into the establisment but as soon as they say my african sister in law, the young short lady(around 18 – 19 years old) asked them to leave, stating– no kids allowed and then proceeded to have a vitrolic verbal attack. Its very obvious from the womans reaction that this wasnt actually anything to do with the young baby accompanying my family but because my sister in law is black. I will not return or even recommended an establisment that allows this type of conduct from their staff

Used to be a great place for food and drink for many Years, with a lovely spacious Beer Garden out the back, which was lovely in the Summer, but it seems the recession has hit this Pub hard, and as a tenancy, their prices are VERY expensive compared to a lot of Pubs in nearby Wind Street, with the result it is pretty quiet, and very often empty, and feels drab and souless. Not really a bad Pub, just a victim of the«price wars«around the corner.

Un-welcoming If you would not liked to be greeted or shall I say demanded to «take your cap off» as soon as you enter, even though there were numerous of other customers who were already sitting down that were wearing caps and beanies. If you like a warm greeting and be able to actually ask for service before being demanded what to do, then this is not the place for you. As quick as I came in, I had left much quicker.

Big brick Tudoresque/medieval looking pub right in the heart of Swansea, a stones throw away from the ubiquitous Wind Street & falling just under the café quarter of Swansea. This place has been going for several years, although on my recent visit could not believe how much it had changed on the inetrior. Remember it being segragated into smaller room and bars. But is now all open plan with one big room & one long bar. Service is not a problem as there seems to be plenty of staff on hand. Meals range from budget to average in price and the selection is your average pub fare. The place is clean & modernly decorated. Ideal place for a quick bite to eat & a swift pint.
