Stopped in after a Swansea City v. Everton match for a pint. Place was packed with middle aged folks but there was still room to sit. Live music in the middle, live rugby from the World Cup on a screen at the back. Plus nice seating outside. Good selection of ales, including some local ones. However, they were understaffed and it took a long time to get a pint. Definitely recommend the Cwtch Red Ale.

Seems like this Venue has closed down suddenly, which is a shame, but no suprise really, as its been struggling for a while now. Another casualty of Wind Streets demise all round

A regular haunt for the Swansea CAMRA branch, who hold many of their meetings here. The beer is excellent, as you might expect. The bar seems to stretch miles back to the parallel road. It is next to the Bank Statement on Wind Street

A haven away from the menacing maelstrom that is Wind Street.

An oasis away from the melée of Wind Street. I echo other comments about the atmosphere — subtle lighting, real ales, real fires, things in cabinets, wood panelling. It’s been there for hundreds of years, and I hope that it’s there for hundreds more. Given the chain pubs that line Wind Street, this is an anomaly worth braving the crowds out on the street to get to. [Edit] Upped to five stars, as I ate there recently and the food, just a humble burger with hand-cut chips was divine, the price excellent, and the beer in tip-top condition. I like places like this. A lot.

Probably the only place on Wind Street I’d choose to go for a drink — while the rest of the street is full of pubs and bars dedicated to selling as much booze as possible, the No Sign feels much more relaxed — people don’t come here to get trashed and a kebab! They’re one of the few places in the city centre that you can get a couple of proper beers/ales alongside the lagers, and their selection of whiskys is great(though quite expensive).

Old fashioned pub in the middle of the chaos that is Wind Street. Olde worlde inside with bare brick and oak beam décor with large roaring fires, big chairs, choice of newspapers to read etc. Has a big selection of wines to choose from(30 plus easily) and a good selection of main meals, lunches & snacks that are competetively priced. Beer prices are reasonable too. From the outside the place looks quite small but inside it is very long & narrow plus subtely lit. Have live music there ocassionally although most of the time you have soft jazz and easy listening music piped through the speakers. Staff on the whole are friendly & helpful although the service can be a little slow. On the whole a nice place to chill ou away from the bustle of the city centre.

I actually like this place!(though I hate most of the other venues in Wind street) It’s quiet and the regulars are civilised! Also I find the bar staff very polite and helpful. My partner and I had a meal there last night, sitting next to a roaring fire with snow outside was really nice. We had welsh beef steaks with hand cut chips and mushrooms plus side salad, and to follow, a panacotta with raspberry coulis. Finally two Irish coffees. The bill came to £34 which I thought was very reasonable. The food was well presented and delicious. I will definitely eat there again.

Dull, dull, dull. No Sign Wine Bar tries to be all adult and posh, but is actually nothing of the sort. There’s rarely enough bar staff, so you queue ages for drinks(although drinks prices are quite good, to be fair). There’s a bizarre mixture of people, and the music reflects this. Not my favourite place in Wind Street at all — if it just admitted what it was and stopped being so pretentious then everyone would be happy.

This is a very traditional pub in the heart of Swansea. It is decorated in dark colours and is quite olde worldy. I went there with a group of friends on Saturday night. When we arrived and sat down, one of the barstaff approached us and asked if he could take our order for drinks. A nice touch, better than queuing at the bar, especially as it was busy. We had two bottles of Pinot Grigio, which came to about £26, so not cheap. Still a nice place to drink.
