Good pub, haven’t tried the food, but the service is great. The self service system is gimmicky but I still enjoyed it. Also they have offers on. Lovely seething outside with heating.

Nice pleasant Pub to have a drink in, although the prices are quite high nowdays(Stella £3:95Peroni £4:20) Food is reasonably priced though, and usually very good quality, and the Pub has a very mixed group of people in and out all day long. Certainly worth a vist, to see what you may think of it

It’s a nice purple building at the end of brynmill. Has simple outside seating which is great in the summer, having a pint on the way home from work watching the world go by. Inside it’s nice, with real ale on tap. Though it can be a little pricey.

I loved the Westbourne when it was a bit scruffy and lived in but even I have to say the face lift has done good things for the place. Good honest place to have a drink. Nice staff and very relaxed. This is the kind of place that should exist in all the suburbs. The people in The Westbourne are a real mix of folk, students happily sit near locals and everybody is happy. Serves a lot of office workers lunchtime.

The Westbourne used to be a quiet, dark, slightly scruffy affair until it had a facelift a few years ago. Now it is quite nice, and gets packed out on the weekends. Brynymor Road is in the middle of a very popular area for student accommodation, but the beer in the Westbourne is significantly more expensive than in the ‘Brynymor’ just up the road, which obviously has an effect on the type of crowd it attracts. Having said that, it is lot more student friendly than it used to be. You will see a lot of students in there at the start and end of term, when they can get their parents to pay for the more expensive beer. They do decent food, and have got on board with some of the newer ideas hitting pubs, wireless internet, coffee and suchlike. There are quite a few flat screens, but local rugby will usually take preference over football. When there’s no sport on, they play Sultans of Swing and Build me up Buttercup on loop. I exaggerate, but only slightly.
