Very good service. Not much of an expert on Indian food so can’t speak to its authenticity but we certainly enjoyed our meal. On a Tuesday evening the place was full and they were doing quite a good take out business as well.

Unser absoluter Lieblingsinder in Englands Südwesten. Es lohnt sich in Tavistock Station zu machen, nicht nur wg. The Ganges. The Ganges ist gut besucht, eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert. Bei der Reservierung darauf achten, dass man nicht unten, also im Keller bucht, sondern oben auf Eingangsniveau. Der Inhaber und die Bedienung sind sehr freundlich und immer entgegenkommend. Bestes Papadam, herausragendes Nan, noch bessere Curries und sensationelle Tandoori-​Gerichte. Sehr gutes Preis-​/​Leistungsverhältnis.

The best curry house in Tavistock! We’ve always had great food and great service and a lot of fun in this restaurant. The takeaways are very good too. We can recommend the vegetarian side dishes especially the cheesey peas (don’t know it’s proper name). Have always gone in a fairly big group so can’t say we’ve been seated with others as the previous reviewer comments. Also child friendly in the early evening. Parking is possible outside or just down the road. Staff very friendly and attentive. In my opinion the quality of the food here is much better than Tharik’s which is just up the road but both have a loyal following in the town.

Disappointed. We arrived hoping to have the same good experienced previously enjoyed, but it failed to deliver. The décor is dated, the lighting is harsh. The drinks took a while to arrive and when the nan bread arrived, there was a hair on it! They took it back and replaced it with another, but no apology or offer of compensation. The curry was not good either. There are much better Indian restaurants around.

The staff were friendly and polite. Food was delicious and served quickly in large portions. Looks nice inside and has a licensed bar. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Will certainly be going again. Hopefully soon :)
