This is one of the best delis around. Umberto knows his regular customers by name. His range of artisanal pastas from Italy is vast. A tip: it pays to ask Umberto for his personal recommendations if you’re not sure what you want to buy. He’s never disappointed us.

Umbertos is a small shop next to Waitrose down greyhound walk selling traditional Italian food. Umberto himself is a very friendly and helpful chap just tell him what you are after. I went in one day to buy a balsamic glaze and he sent me away with the recipe instead! There are some great lunch time snacks to take away and also a large Italian wine selection from £5 — upwards depending on your requirements, just go in and tell him what your after. It’s the perfect place for all Italian food and drink needs!
