This place has served me well for the past 5 months. Living so close by at the moment also helps, but I’d travel to get here. Why is it so good??? The choices on offer are always impressive, and the portion sizes are massive for the price. less than a tenner could easily do two people unless of course you are greedy like me and can’t get enough. My personal favorite: Rogan Josh(lamb)

Yes I agree with the earlier reviewer about Tandoori corner. I recently bought a flat almost opposite this place for me and some members of my family who work in London to live in. The rest of the family are often down at weekends and my wife in particular loves this place. There is this enormous spread of Indian dishes, all the usuals plus a lot of the less commonplace. You can have them hot or, slightly cheaper, cold to take home and heat up yourself, which we normally do. After 9pm the food is half price — which is amazing! You can basically get a huge Indian takeaway for less than normal takeaway prices. And it is very tasty.

I’ve been curious about Tandoori Corner for a few years. I’ve had a peep in this takeaway shop where all the food is cooked and available in big pots — the smells coming out of here are very appetising. Unfortunately for Tandoori Corner, they’re located very close to Bunga Raya, my favourite Malaysian buffet restaurant. So, by the time I stagger out of Bunga Raya, I’m feeling far too full to even contemplate buying any more food. However, last Friday, my sister and I arrived at Bunga Raya to find that they were undergoing renovation, which presented the perfect chance for me to suggest getting a takeaway from Tandoori Corner. They have a wide range of meat and vegetarian curries as well as briyanis. There is also a selection of different rices and breads to accompany the curries. We had a meat bhuna and meat makhani with chicken briyani and some parathas. The taste of the curries lived up to the smells — lots of fresh spices, herbs and proper masalas had obviously gone into the making of these curries. What made it even more amazing was the price. Each meat curry was only £3.50 for a very big box of meat-heavy curry. I love it when a place lives up to all that mental promise that you put onto it!
