Visited for a Sunday lunch. It was a miserable, wet day and the restaurant was packed with families of varying sizes, with lots of(well-behaved) kids. Son no.1 had the home made steak burger, which came with a decent salad. Excellent and very herby. No 2 loaded on the carb, opting for the bread basket and enormous chips, the size of Jenga pieces. My belly of pork ws succulent with a crisp crackling served with black pudding wrapped in mash. The other half went for the two meat roast and was demolished with a very decent Rioja. The boys were defeated by the enormous slabs of gooey chocholate brownie cake. Well worth a visit and am looking forward to paying a return visit when the weather improves and we can enjoy the large pretty garden. A la carte, bar and kids’ menus.
