The Antwerp was saved from the property developers earlier this year and has now been running for 5 months as a community owned pub (you can, if you are quick, still buy shares and help secure its future)
Expect to find real ales from local brewer Redemption, and sometimes beers in the fridge from other local brewery Beavertown.
Plus all the usual suspects on the bar.
Obviously it’s busy with fans, both home and away, on match days. But don’t let that put you off.

The Antwerp Arms has a reputation around the local area for being a bit of a hard place and not somewhere to take lightly. I have been a few times, and it has always been in company, it is not somewhere I would go on my own as I have heard of a lot that has gone on here, whether it’s true or not, I don’t know.
Each and every time I have been, there have been no problems and it has been quite pleasant. Drinks are cheap and the service behind the bar is just fine. It’s a local pub, it’s got a reputation for being a bit bad, but there’s nothing to worry about as long as you don’t start the trouble, from everything that I had heard of it, I was quite sceptical about going in, but its fine.
