You can sometimes get some interesting lots in the weekly sales — though the quality of some of the lots can be more car boot than antique. But that does mean some very good lots to cheap as chips as people overlook them. Sale night lets this place down as the rostrum is in the wrong place resulting in a scrum; difficult to get in the room as people block the doorway; difficult to register; difficult to hear as people talk loudly; and finally difficult to pay. This makes the evening a test of endurance rather than a fun night out. It’s even difficult to buy a coffee or a bite to eat as people buy a kit-cat at and take up a table all night. Needs more policing of the tables; they would certainly sell a lot more food that way. You need to view the lots, as the descriptions don’t always declare obvious faults, and getting condition reports can be difficult as they don’t always reply to them.
