The Mill was another stop during my recent visit to Ulverston; a family favourite, I was interested to see what was so appealing. Inside, it feels much like a gastropub, with large wooden tables and lower level lighting. There’s an additional area upstairs, often used for parties and celebrations, so it’s much larger that it appears from the outside. Drinks weren’t too expensive and there’s always a good selection of real beer to choose from. Unfortunately last orders bang on 11pm, so we were forced to move on. Naturally, the appeal is the large mill wheel in the middle of the pub, behind glass so you can gaze it going round and round and round and round. Dizzy? Great for kids and big kids alike.
