Great food, but be prepared to wait for a VERY long time to get it. The place is being run by a couple of feckless kids(which is the manager’s fault, of course, not the unmotivated young staffs’) who spend all their time around the back talking to each other and never come out to clear the tables, take orders, deliver the bill or check everything’s okay. They didn’t write down the orders when they took them, and surprise surprise, it arrives wrong after waiting for half an hour just to place the order, then another half an hour for it to come. A damn shame, as the food was great, but we’ll never be going back. Not unless we’ve got two or more hours to spare when trying to get a quick sandwich for lunch.

If you like country tradition, then this should be your stop. A traditional B&B and café in Uppermill, it is lovely inside and has amazing views of the park and is situated next to the River Tame. It is a family run business and uses local produce in its café which is amazing! The café is on the ground floor and they have red gingham cloths on the table which gives it its classic country café style. The B&B is only small but is perfect if you want some peace and quiet. They have a family room and a a twin room. It isn’t much but looks lovely inside. There is also a lounge area with a TV so you can relax and put your feet up. It really is a picturesque place.
