Magdalene’s

This is quite a new restaurant in Wakefield and unfortunately still seems to be quite quiet for the majority of the time. When I went, I was actually quite impressed, I had Martini chicken, which, whilst not tasting like Martini, was very tasty. The waiter was really friendly and gave great service, however, I felt a little uncomfortable as we were the only people in the place at peak time! I think the problem is that they haven’t really decided what their market is — it’s billed as Greek/​mediterranean but they don’t really do authentic Greek food other than mezze. However, they also don’t have a very wide ranging or varied menu — whilst what I had was nice, it was the only thing there that I fancied.
