Located just next door to the Odeon, Pizza Hut sits at the back of the silverlink retail park. The staff are friendly and the food is nice, but for either the same price, or not much more, you can go to pizzeria’s with much better food and are much less, I hate to sound snobby but, common. Handy to have though when you come out of the cinema feeling a bit peckish and don’t fancy doing the washing up!

Pizza Hut, located next to the Odeon cinema on the Silverlink Wallsend has all the typical hallmarks of the new style Pizza Hut, which unfortunately find a little uncomfortable unlike how it used to be. Must be a very British way of doing things now as the chain in the US still retains its family feel and looks how a Pizza Hut should look i.e. bright and colourful and somewhere you can relax with kids, rather than the modern deco cold feeling it has now. The food however remains the same which is good news especially if you go during the week and catch the lunchtime buffet as it offers unlimited amounts of pizza(on the pizza only option about a fiver) or for a little more you can have the pizza/pasta option in which you can have pizza two kinds of hot pasta and then a selection of sides such as coleslaw, potato salad, onions, various dips, salad leaves and beetroot to name but a few. Soda’s and soft drinks are also unlimited. It makes excellent value for money and a cheap meal out. Give it a go.

Following the recent rebranding to Pasta Hut, this restaurant now offers a selection of both pizza and pasta dishes. I must admit i was never the biggest fan of the place whilst it was known as Pizza Hut and despite the rebranding a wider variety of dishes available, i’m still not overly keen. The food does taste good, with a wide innovative selection of pizza bases and topping and combinations of both. But on the downside my personal gripes are the constantly sticky tables, dirty cuttelery and overly keen waiters — who constantly return to the table to question you when you have a mouthful of food.

Pizza Hut is ideal for children’s parties, being situated right next to the Odeon cinema at the Silverlink retail park. However, I feel the place has a somewhat sanitised feel to it and the pizzas can sometimes be hit or miss, never mind expensive. They have expanded their menu and redecorated in recent months to try and get away from their fast food image but I think the stereotypes still remain. Perhaps worth a visit for their cheap lunchtime deals where you can get all you can eat, although you will have to navigate against the stampede of many others when they put new plates of pizza out onto the table!

Pizza Hut is located on the busy Silverlink Retail Park directly next door to the Odeon Cinema. This restaurant is fantastic it is easily accessible, the staff are friendly and the menu is beginning to offer a wider variety of dishes(pizzas, pastas etc) making it easy for even the most picky eater to find something they like. The prices are quite reasonable and discounts are offered to customers who have a Cobalt Community Card. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is friendly. Being situated next door to the cinema makes it an ideal place to make a night of it. I highly recommend this restaurant.
