Willow Chippy

A lovely looking flyer dropped through my door a few weeks back and I thought I would give the Willow a try as it has got an excellent reputation, even tho it is 4 miles away from home, and I tell you what, I wasn’t dissappointed! Everything was absolutely spot on, pretty cheap and massive portions! Open Monday to Saturday but not Sunday unfortunately. Best chip shop for miles in my opinion, this confirmed by the fact it is always pretty busy! I won’t go anywhere else now, defo worth a try!

Lived in the area for a few years now, and although there’s plenty of takeaways down the high street I was disappointed with the lack of decent chip shops nearby! Neptune’s is decent but only open through the day, so when Willow Chippy opened I was very pleased! The staff are friendly and always ask if you want anything putting in if there’s a queue, and the chips are always tasty! They also do very generous portions (no half portions though). Opening times are 11−2pm and 4pm-​8pm through the week. I don’t think they’re open at weekends which is a shame (although probably a good thing as I’d be there more often!) Definitely my chippy of choice in Wallsend!
