Nandos

I think this might be the best place in the world lol! Always perfect they’ve never made a mistake with my order. Could eat nando’s every day, going there for dinner tonight :)

One of the nicest Nando’s I’ve been to for looks and layout — but they were in seeerious need of another waiter on Sunday eve! Or just stop them all taking extra-​long breaks in the staffroom at the same time?! We were stood like lemons by the door for at least 10 mins before someone came over to seat us. They’d run out of cutlery in the pots and said they’d bring some over (which they didn’t). We spotted a backlog of food ready to be served that wasn’t being taken to the tables. Our food arrived 40mins after we’d ordered even though they weren’t full. And our server left us standing at the counter for 5mins thinking he’d gone to get more soft drink glasses from the kitchen, when he’d actually just forgotten and gone for a break.
The saving graces were 1) the compliment from the guy at the till that I was a nando’s ordering pro because he didn’t have to say anything (!), and 2) the food was thankfully up to scratch — we’d all had a long, sad kind of day and totally weren’t up for cooking, so a disappointing nando’s after all of the above would have been the last straw!
Follow signs onto the Crown Wharf to find this place btw — there’s plenty of parking, free in the evenings.
