This branch of BHS is inside the Abbeycentre. It has a range of departments in store, such as Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis for ladies wear, menswear, a decent range of baby and children’s wear. They also have a homeware section with lighting, bed linen, and kitchen related goods. There is also a café towards the back of the store. The shop itself is never busy, in fact, it’s usually pretty empty. Décor wise, it’s rather dated, particularly the further back and right you go after walking in the entrance! Puts me in mind of the department store father Ted was in, in the episode where they got lost in the lingerie department…

BHS is one of those old school stores where you can buy ladies /mens /kids fashion clothing as well as home and living ware. BHS is the shortened form of British Home Stores. In this store in the Abbey Centre you will find it is easy to navigate and there are lots of styles for both young and older people. Although BHS is thought of as a shop for slightly older people you’d be surprised that some of the clothes here are actually quite fashionable. They do some lovely underwear as well, in a range of different sizes. I also like coming in here to buy some home ware such as picture frames or candle holders, they sell some really nice stock for a reduced price. In this particular branch there’s also a small café where you can relax if you’ve had too much of shopping. Here you can get light refreshments, sandwiches, snacks, and some hot food too.
