We stumbled upon Herbaceous Hebalists on our most recent visit to Whitstable. Drawn in by the board offering Spanish extra virgin olive oil, we browsed the contents of the store. It’s set out in quite a jumbled fashion, but it makes discovering all they have to offer even more exciting!
Between us we purchased Spanish and Italian olive oil, whitstable sea salt, beetroot juice, glycerine soap and Brazilian coffee. Other than the unusual food items there were many herb and plant products sold for medicinal use, candles, cosmetics and gift items. A really eclectic range, but all products that felt a little special.
The lady that runs the shop was lovely, chatting with us about her travels in South America and places that she knows in Brighton.
I would definitely pop back in here next time I’m in this neck of the woods.

This tiny shop is crammed full of suprises, so its always best to have a good look around as its easy to miss things. This shop stocks Buddhas to Bhindis, Incense to Organic Coffee, there is really something for everyone.
If you are a user of Ecover products this shop also offers a refill service so you can save money and help recycle those used plastic bottles! Good value overall and with a lovely owner.
