Quite a nice pub, with a not too bad stage room although there isn’t very much room to move around in front of the band. The bands on offer on the night I was there were all pretty decent, especially My Wooden Pillow and Morgue Orgy, but for some reason although the gig was free most of the regulars stayed in the bar part of the pub. Dissapointing, but hey ho that’s their loss and not the pubs fault although by all accounts they hadn’t advertised the gig very well if at all.
It’d probably be a regular haunt of mine if I lived Wigan way…

great on sundays at the soul events was refused entry 1st time due to wearing trainers but apart from that great music and free admission
