They got it right! Best place ever. As good as it gets.
The fresh oil that they told me they change every day, which you can tell straight away and
the generous portions. The ladies running the shop were delightful and genuine in ensuring a good experience. Beautiful fresh cod. Yum. thank you and see you again next time Im in Windsor. Understandable why its a popular local spot.

Ok. I was skeptical. But then I tried it. Very nice. had two fish and chips and one scampi and chips. Chips were wonderful, fish and scampi were delicious. Very inexpensive. Well worth the wait.

We spent a week in windsor in a town home. We were within walking distance to this shop. Its take away (take out) and no frills. But OMG best fish n chips!

A fantastic chip shop. Big portions, and excellent chips.
I love the battered sausages here, and mushy peas are done to perfection like all decent chip shops should.

perfect chippie: the owner greets you like an old friend. the chips are proper potato different size chips, none of the reconstituted frozen mashed chips. fish and battered sausage as well as curry and gravy sauces are yummy! highly recommended!

We used to come here all the time but our last visit left us greatly disappointed. Chips were chalky and tasteless, the fish was rubbery. It all seemed re-​heated? I don’t think we’ll be coming back, 1 star.

Best chippy in Windsor. I have used the place for years and never had anything reheated. Chips take less than ten minutes and fish about seven. As with all chip shops pies are cooked and kept hot.

Wonderful service but have to disagree with the other reviews in that the food is always piled high and obviously re– heated. When I asked for food to be freshly cooked I was informed that I would have to wait 20 minutes.

I went there last night based on the last 2 reviews and totally agree; the owner is really friendly and goes out of his way to help (even doing skinless cod for my family). The chips were excellent and the fish was a good size with a good amount of batter. Highly recommended!

Agree totally with the last review (paul c). King Neptune is definitely the best fish and chip shop in Windsor. The owner is a really genuine and friendly man, who somehow remembers little details about you e. g that we don’t have salt!

This is by far my favourite chippy in Windsor!
The menu is extensive and is more akin to a northern chippy with all the usuals you would expect and a few extras as well and he is always trying new things. The owner is one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet and how does he put the salt and vinegar on at that sort of speed? Only people who have been there will appreciate what I mean!
There is something for everyone at King Neptunes including the infamous battered mars bar. Well you have to try it once?!
Parking isn’t easy unless you want to pay but its well worth the effort.
