Came in here on NYE for an early pint before going somewhere else. It was very nice and we had fun. It’s cosy without being stuffy, cool without being frosty. In fact it was the first time I had been back since about 1995, when we came in during the middle of a notorious day time party(for one of our friends’ daughter’s one year old birthday party) who used to live in the street and were chucked out and barred for various examples of bad behaviour and disrespect to the place and each other. Highly embarrassing but very funny. But anyway, it’s a nice pub with a great reputation. Like the area, the place has changed a little bit since I was last there but that’s all for the better in my opinion.

great homely pub… furniture is mismatched, chairs wobbly, odd jugs, pictures and posters are all around… and you feel like you are in a cosy, alcohol serving version of your grandma’s living room! They serve food on weekend evenings and sunday all day. Great garden– which i understand can be hired for private summer parties

This is my home-from-home. The genuinely friendly and delightful couple who run it, their crew of cheerful assistants, Captain the adorable resident dog, quirky antiques, home-made food what’s not to love? I regularly hold parties here as the food is superb and such good value, and it really feels like hosting at home. Snuggle by the cosy fire in winter or chill out in the well-kept garden in summer –oh, and the all-day Sunday brunch is second to none!

Lovely locals pub just outside the centre of Windsor. A very friendly pubdon’t think it is a pure locals pub — they do invite and look after new customers! The furniture is quirky which adds to the ambience of the pub and the food is very good. The garden has had some work on and is lovely — very private and secluded so ideal for families in the summer.

The Alma is a lovely, local, traditional English pub on Springfield Road. You always get a friendly welcome. The food menu is simple — veg chilli was good. It’s got a really relaxed warm, atmosphere. There’s a real fire in winter and a lovely beer garden for the summer. Furniture /interesting nic nacks are for sale around the pub.
