Despite it’s quite humble appearances Le Mistral is a gem, the food was fabulous and we will be visiting again!
I had chicken and chorizo linguini and my friend had boeuf bourguignon both were excellent, as was the service.
The restaurant is quite cosy but not cramped and decorated with French memorabilia, I believe there is more seating downstairs.
It’s the sort of place you could go to sit and enjoy company, food and wine without feeling hurried. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere, not like the hustle and bustle of a mainstream restaurant where you can’t hear across the table.

Great french food served by a ridiculously happy bunch of staff. Check out the website for any specialist nights they are having for something a bit extra. Its a nice place just to pop into and watch the world go by during the day. Then at night the food and service take on a different tone and it turns into a great place to sit and chat over some nice food and a bottle. Just make sure you double check the drinks prices as this can quickly spiral!
