Ellie’s is a bit of a mixed bag of a wine bar/bistro/bar/café. He crowd in here really changes between day and night and the atmosphere can go from a quiet café atmosphere by day to a loud and lairy bar/pub atmosphere at night. I’ve only eaten her once and the food seemed good enough, good portions and friendly enough service, although I wasn’t overly impressed overall! I’ve been here two or three times on a night out and decided that I won’t be going back, it seems very clicky and seems to have a regular crowd that can be fairly loud and laddish. I’ve never seen any trouble here but it wasn’t a place I felt I could fully relax on a night out and there are plenty of better alternative venues down the road in West Kirby. For a quiet lunch though, this place is fine and good if you live around Greasby as you can have a nice stroll through the village in the way home.
