been in a few times, cheap and cheerful really like any other Wetherspoon’s can’t complain but can’t compliment.

The Dee hotel always used to be the last place that people got banned from! Now its just a typical Wetherspoons. If you like mixing with large numbers of young drinkers seeking cheap alcohol you’ll like it, othwerwise steer clear.

A haunt of the days when we first turned 18 and went to the cheapest place possible to drink as much as we could, this isn’t bad as far as Wetherspoon’s pubs go!
Full of cheap drinks with plenty of tables and it’s always easy to find a seat. When the pub’s full you can end up waiting quite a while for food, we have waited for almost an hour before!
It’s a fairly friendly pub and you can expect to see a vast array of regulars queuing up outside at 9am to get their tot of morning whiskey to read the paper with. You can then expect to see them drink the day away, occasionally singing!
It’s a good place to get tanked up before you jump on the train to Liverpool from the station opposite, and it’s surrounded by other bars and restaurants should you want to move around a bit!

As in all Wetherspoon Pubs there is always a wait at the bar to be served and this one is no exception. Wetherspoon really do need to get there act together and get more staff on duty the poor staffwho work here are run ragged, the price of the drinks and food are exceptionally cheap that is why this bar is so busy and the food is pub grub ok for the price you pay. My husband and igo for Sunday Lunch and a drink included in the price really good value, always sticky tables as they have been wiped down with orange juice insted ofhot soapy water, but if you ask the staff will wipe the table down for you, staff very obliging in this wetherspoon.
