Excellent food and beautiful surroundings but the drinks and service let it down. The service is very pleasant but slow, inattentive and forgetful. This was several team members, not just one person. Several of the drinks were also flat. Its a real shame because the venue is great and the food is exceptional. Prices aren’t bad either. I think the management might need to have a word!

Pleasant enough Beefeater, offering reasonably priced pub food and drinks. Plenty of deals to be had throughout the week, although my Caesar salad was drowning in dressing and the croutons tasted like they’d been soaked in too-​old oil.
But then again, it’s a Beefeater, whaddyagonnado?

OK, so I’m not a fan of brewery owned pubs as I believe they defeat the atmosphere and character that a true pub should have. However, I will make an exception for this place! The Glegg serves as both a cosy restaurant with great food and specials, and a great little pub with pub food and a separate grill menu. They have great offers on this pub food and a great selection of combos and jacket potatoes for snacks.
They had a huge refurbishment a couple of years back which saw the whole pub transformed and made more comfortable. They have a really comfy interior for those winter nights, and a really spacious beer garden for those summer days. Basically it’s a good place all year round. They have a selection of draught beers, house wines and bottles beers as well as a full bar of spirits.
They even have a hotel next door in case you’re so drunk that you want to wet somebody else’s bed instead of your own :)

What’s beef? Beef is when you needs two gats to goto sleep, beef is when yo maams aint safe up in the streets, beef is I see you guaranteed to be in ICU… Ok ok this place is about different kind of beef that the one Biggie is suffering to but it just reminded me of this chilled track!!! How amazing was Notorius, some people are just born talented!!! Anywho beef eaters rejoice this place really is for you.
The good thing about Glegg is that it raises its head above pub food rather better than most attempts. Reasonable priced menu as well, so can’t really complain. Those of you not beef inclined the rack of lamb will go down equally well. So Glegg it next time you’re in the Wirral.

Very near home so can walk there. Food is varied, of a good standard and reasonably priced, particularly if you go ’ early doors’. Always reliable.
Revisited 29⁄11. Very nice meal in the Beefeater, my rack of lamb was excellent and my two guests had minted lamb.
Goiing again this evening. More later Revisited 14÷8÷12. Very busy and service rather slow, but food of a good standard (apart from the tenderstem broccoli being rock hard !). We had a 16 month baby with us as well as her 87 yr old great grandmother (+ generations between). They do try hard to cater for families, with different menus for babies, children and adults.

Lovely food, which cxan be aeaten in the conservatory part, where the outdoor play area is visible, allowing parents to have a meal and keep kids happy and safe at the same time. The food is well priced and high quality. The bar area is quit and comfortable with sofas etc.
