Really liked Cote! Had never seen it in Wokingham before(across from Zizzi) but checked out the menu and thought it was worth a try. Dark, intimate lighting inside. Quite large jnside too as there is a large dining area at the back and staff offered a choice of where we could sit. Service was efficient, wine list reasonable and mains priced around £11-£18 though a set menu around £12 is available. We popped in for just a main course. I opted for duck and my Mum the beef bourginon. Both dishes were lovely — the duck was served still pink and perfectly cooked and the beef was described as the perfect comfort food. We were too full and tired after a 4am start to fit in dessert but dinner at Cote was what was required after a long day. Staff were lovely, arranging a taxi for us and if I’m back in Wokingham then I’d return. The food is brassiere style but hearty and welcoming. Even in January, the restaurant was busy which is always a good sign.
