No longer does food and this place seems to have problems at the moment.
The 1 star I’ve given is for the resident cat.
Always running out of stock, terrible draught beer which is horrifically overpriced on the rare occasions they have any to sell, awful sound system and the toilets should be condemned.
The location and garden give this place huge potential but at the moment nobody is making it happen, a real shame and a real waste.

been here after a gig at the civic, should be busier but seems to be a lack of stock in fridges and only one draught on tap
Never the less nice outside smoking area and friendly staff and also stays open late

Great place to hang out both during the day and the evening. Its generally quiet during the day and over winter they have a real fire which is lovely in the miserable weather. The food is reasonably priced and always fresh and good. They often have live music or comedians on in the evening and its always a very chilled atmosphere. Generally a great bar and made even better by the resident cat :)

Decent little bar in the middle of town near the civic hall. Used to be a decent place when it was Kipps back in the day, not so lively now, one of those places people seem to forget that its there. Food is nice in the day and a friendly atmosphere both day and night. Outside smoking area with heaters and part covered with large umbrellas. Nice décor inside, low ceilings and cobbles. Resonably priced also.
