Disgusting customer service with racism at its best. Twice I have been subjected to racism at Asda Molineux Wolves. First incident - I was at the self-checkout scanning my items. I needed something to be authorised. A floor employee was near me folding used asda bags a customer had returned. The guy saw that I needed assistance but carried on folding used plastic bags. Surprised by the employee ignoring me, I told him 'excuse me, you can do later, I need you to authorise this'. The employee told me to wait. Now shocked, I repeated to him that he can fold the bags later. The employee carried on folding bags. Annoyed, I told him that he should give more attention to customers than plastic bags. The employee did not appreciate that and told me that he needed to check that nothing was left in the used bags. . The guy just carried on folding plastic bags as if I were a nobody. The lady who had handed him the used plastic bags had already gone. The employee went to serve another customer (white) talking all politely to the white customer. I told the employee that i needed his assistance before the white lady. The emplyee refused to authorise my groceries and asked someone to call security to remove me from the store. Then the employee complained that I was rude to him and that I shouted at him.
secong incident - Again at the self-checkout scanning my bags of lemons. After having scanned 3 bags, a message stating that i have reached my limit of bags of lemons displayed on the screen. I did not know there was a limmit on the number of lemon bags one could buy at once. I thought ok, no problem. The till wouldn't let me checkout as an employee was needed to enter his employee code so I could checkout the 3 bags i had scanned. I called an employee and as he was keying in his code, he was telling me that there is a limit I can buy. I replied to him calmy and politely that I know that now and that I saw the message displayed on the screen. The employee carried on telling me there is a limit so i repeated yes I know, I was able to read that on the screen. The employee wasn't too happy about me answering back to him. He snatched the 2 bags of lemons I had put on the side and left to take care of another customer (white). I heard him address the white customer politely. Nothing like the way he addressed me. Then a manager came and I explained to the manager what had happened.
I will not return to that Asda. You can tell that these employees are miserable racist employees who do not like their job. When you like your job, you do it well. This kind place with people vibrating low is not for me. The energy that emanates from some of these employees is so low that my place is not in this store.
I normally shop at Sainsburys and have been for over 10 years and never have I experienced such horrible customer service. I mean you can tell the difference between Sainsburys employees and the employees at this Asda Molineux Wolverhampton. The employees at Sainsburys are better trained to offer very good customer service and even if some of the prices at Sainsburys are higher, I would rather pay more and be treated like a human being.
This Asda does not deserve a penny of my hard work for the type of customer service I get. Pure racism. Pure discrimination. Disgusting miserable employees who think that they are doing me a favour.
Carry on with that type of customer service and you will see your sales go down. I am not returning there and I have made sure that my partner, my son and brother don't enter this Asda.
