I agree with ian. This place has always had pretentions. Never eaten here myself but a when I met a mate in there recently they had quite a decent specials board to go with the brewery microwave menu. Always been a decent pint of Bank’s here.

OK large pub, now does meals, with aspirations to more than steak and chips. Now has a guest ale on, of the Banks’s stable, eg Jennings. Safe and comfy, clean etc, too many fruit machines, but you can’t have everything.
