I agree with previous review, its a great village pub. People do travel to it especially people from Ashmore park which is 10 mins walk away via the nicket footpath. I have relatives in Essington and enjoy having a pint in here. I have friends that are in here most nights. A good range of ales and lagers at reasonable prices. The management also arrange trips ie. to local breweries. A great asset to the community.

Good pub in a village on the edge of wolverhampton. Once filled with aging locals although younger people now visit from other areas. Based in two rooms, the lounge and the bar they offer a wide range of drinks and bar snacks including cobs! The lounge has an open fire which keeps the room lovely and toasty. Staff are great and live in Essington so know a lot of people who drink there so there is a real villagey feel without the this is a local pub you’re not welcome feel to it. They also put on a range of entertainement including karaōke and discos as well as themed nights.
