We turned up without a reservation on Friday around 7:30 for dinner. We were pulled in to the two for £12.50 because who doesn’t love an offer and the options weren’t bad at all. However, they seemed so inconvenienced by us turning up. Asked us if we had a reservation then ummed and aahed but eventually shoved us on a table right to the side of the bar. Annoyingly it was by a fire exit which had a breeze and there were plenty of tables about… We thought maybe there were bookings but no one turned up while we were there so no idea what that was about. Anyway, the food was great. I couldn’t fault the deep fried Camembert, my friends loved the escargot and the wine was alright for what was available. Expensive but chains normally are for drinks. My issue here and my reason for the 1 star was the huge wait between courses and when asked we were dismissed. The staff genuinely seemed fed up to be there and what we thought would be a quick meal pushed almost 2 hours. Needless to say the service charge added wasn’t paid.

The food is not bad at this one, but the service was really poor, we had to wait a while before being served and no one seemed in a hurry, left feeling a little underwhelmed.

Myself and a friend went recently for an evening meal and throughly enjoyed the food. The service was efficient, fast and staff really friendly. Throughout the meal the atmosphere was calming and our designated person serving was very polite. I would strongly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, friendly and enjoyable evening out with good company to pay a visit.

Myself and the family have used this restaurant many times, one of or if not the best we have found within worcester city. Friendly staff make a good restaurant, and café rouge wont let you down there. Menu is good, as a rule, we all start of with the escargots(snails) and musicles. Steaks are done to your likeing, and the duck is to die for. My favorite on the menu. Lunchtimes can get busy, but tells you its good, so wait and enjoy your food. The only thing l would like to see is maybe the snails in the shells and musicles in a safron sauce, but maybe in time they will be there for all to enjoy. A Tozer
