We went to the Chilcha last night and had a fantastic meal. The staff were polite and friendly, the surroundings very nice and contemporary and the food lovely so cannot understand when I read negative comments on other sites. Our party of 4 all agreed we would go back again and again.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Worthing and I’ve been to most of them! This is the place for you if you want a curry that’s a cut above the rest. The food is fresh tasting, the onion salad is a really good test and theirs is yum! The starters come with a lovely salad garnish and a slice of lime. You don’t get bright pink dyed looking chicken tikka here. The curries are much lighter and not greasy. The sides are nice too, the coconut rice doesn’t have sweetened desiccated coconut in it, so it’s not saccharin sweet, just yummy and savoury. Their banquet nights on Wednesday and Thursday are really good value too as they don’t mind you taking a doggy bag home with you. If we go on the banquet nights we always swap the ice-cream or coffee with a side dish between us. I have a couple of smal niggles; their naan bread can be a bit doughy but their paratha is yummy, the beer can also be a little warm. Try the Bangla beer as it’s better than ordinary Cobra but the King Cobra is yummy and nicely chilled. The surroundings are contemporary, the staff are really great and the owner is really approachable. I love it!
