Whatever happened in a couple of years!!! Probably the worst service I have experienced in a «chipper»!!!
The food looked/​smelled fabulous… but what a to-​do to get a table.
One guy/​wife and child ahead of us… loads of tables free… two waiting staff who never acknowledged any of us, and didn’t appear to care! Eventually the waiter seated the guy in front of us, then proceeded to seat people behind us, totally ignoring us! On a backward step he then said I can give you a table but you need to be gone in a hour!
Thanks a bunch…
A real shame Mr Rance cannot review hi training manual for front-​of-​house staff!!!

Consistently great fish’n’chips.
I would prefer a slightly larger haddock, but that’s only because it’s so good!

Simply the best fish and chips I have tried in all of the South East!
Always clean tasting and fresh batter, fresh chips and large portions. Having tried most other fish and chip shops around Worthing, Chipwicks have a serious edge over the shops that sell old crunchy chips or cook their fish in old or inferior oil — they seem to pride themselves in their freshness.
Every single time I have been there (and that’s a lot) there are queues of fish and chip lovers, testament to the quality. We find it’s quite nice to get your supper and eat it on the beach, a mere minutes stroll away.
