Burnby Hall Gardens is really just what it says, there is a huge pond(well two really) and a lot of grass/trees and plants, it is great for a picnic or drinking fine wines It is not a bad place to go for a sunny afternoon out. The Clientèle tend to be reasonably respectable, which is nice, even though you always have some kids running at ducks and generally being annoying and ruining the otherwise peaceful environment. There is an aviary which is, um, rather small. There is a woefully overpriced café and a nice ice cream place too. They often have a brass band on which i tended to avoid, because the parks get busy with the kind of people who like brass band music. There is also a small museum which is worth avoiding because it is very poor — unless you like to see dead creatures stuffed and mounted, and said killer of these creatures(Major Percy Stewart himself!) glorified, when in fact he must have been a vile a human to kill them. He was basically a toffy big game hunter who killed animal for fun when he grew tired of the daily humdrum of being wealthy. So to conclude the gardens are nice, the ponds and fish are nice the café is expensive the bands are hit and miss and the museum is terrible.
