This is for most a small mall for food. A lot of food compared to retail. Spoilt for choice if you ask me. You can tell the popular outlets just by look at the queue formed. Prices are reasonable across the various eateries. If you still can’t find what you want, there is still Bedok Mall and Bedok Hawker Center a few hundred meters away.

Bedok Point is the first mall to open in this town. I remember so much expectations were raised during the inauguration of the building. The local residents, including myself were so excited about«the new mall». Alas! We were all disappointed when it was finally opened to the public. The whole place, 3-quarter of it… food! All food! Where’re the clothes, the supermarket, the cinema? Some even said they should just rename the building to something food related. Even the carpark is tiny. If only they made two basement parkings, it would have been a lot more convenient. So far, main purpose of my visits here is the food. I only get to Basement 1 at times to get IT stuffs at Challenger.

You come here when you’ve rule out everywhere else to go to eat. And even then the carpark is tiny. But that said… all is not lost! There’s a lot to eat here, from a very good Taste Paradise, to Sushi Tei, and Pastamania, and even MOS burger and Popeye’s upstairs. There’s also a Gong Cha in between to quench that milk-tea thirst. I don’t think I’ve seen a mall this dedicated to food, but I’m not complaining!

When I heard of a ‘Point’ opening in the east, I expected it to match the grandeur of the west’s Jurong Point, but I came here… and boy was it a disappointment. The mall is pretty small and cramp, you’ll find it hard to walk around in here, and the shops here just sell knick-knacks and handphone accessories. Ayam Penyet Ria has a branch here(I guess that’s where a good 30% of the mall’s business comes from), and Kungfu Paradise, which attracts a night crowd because they stay open till 3.15 am on weekend nights. Live too far away to come here regularly, but even if I did live closer, I wouldn’t frequent this mall at all.
