Causeway Point

This mall has improved a lot since its introduction and is probably the Northlander’s favourite mall. Northpoint is an alternative if you find this place too far for your convenience. However, there are lots more choices for food at almost all levels. I reckon the stalls at Food Republic are better than others.
I usually come here every weekend and often hang out at Coffee Bean, Food Republic and Cathay Cinema. There are a good variety of shops which keeps you on your toes. The prices may be higher than neighbourhood malls but that doesn’t stop shopaholics from splashing their cash!
Bad thing is it gets pretty crowded during peak hours of weekdays and whole of weekends! So finding a parking lot can be a nightmare, I would recommend public transport to this mall.
There is a bus interchange and bus 950 which connects you to Johor Bahru just in case if you like to head elsewhere.
Overall, this is one of the better malls in Singapore. Woodlands Civic Centre can only look at it with admiration!

Causeway Point was the very first mall I went to when I came here to Singapore for the first time. Just off Woodlands MRT, you get to enjoy restaurants, retails and a whole lot of bargains.
It was kindda nostalgic whenever we come here, even if we were just going to eat or buy one item and be on our way (Yes, we sometimes go to malls away from our place just for fun). At first it was a bit confusing, but afterwards, I got the hang of roaming around the mall without getting lost. For a mall in that part of Singapore, it is relatively big. I actually bought my first iron and electric kettle here (I’m like this whenever I moved to a new place and start building my appliances).
With Causeway Point nearby, it will only take me a few stations away to reach a mall big enough to house everything a person needs-​clothes, food, gadget, s furnishings, and what not.

Causeway Point is the closest mall to my nest. I’ve lived in Woodlands before the mall was open and I can tell you how snazzy it’s become. It’s still undergoing renovations but the inside of the mall is pretty much settled. There are plenty of boutiques, food establishments, cosmetics shops and a significant number of them are new merchants that breathe new life into our retail experience and keep us coming back for more. My favourite part of the mall right now is the basemen level, because that’s where the food kiosks are, muahaha. Yes, I can’t stop munching. I’m trying hard to put on weight.
With so many things going on for those of us living in Woodlands, there is no need for us to venture to other neighbourhoods or town to get the latest fashion trends, meals or necessities.

Moved to Woodlands close to a decade ago and Causeway Point was the first place where I had dinner with my parents after we unpacked all the boxes. Back then, before the behemoths such as Ion were constructed, the mall was considered one of the bigger malls on the island. Salad days.
With departmental store Metro, a huge food court as well as movie theatre, Causeway Point can easily answer your retail and leisure needs as long as it is not to complicated.
The mall has undergone a revamp in recent years and the last time I dropped by I was quite taken aback by the changes. A lot of the previous stalls have been replaced by new retailers — not that this is a bad thing as the retail leasing was starting to get a little dated. Basement also boasts many new eateries and restaurants to cater to the crazy crowds that descend on this place during the weekends. Upper levels are still in the midst of renovation and I am looking forward to what they have in store.

Causeway Point Shopping Centre is conveniently located right beside Woodlands MRT Station, and is probably the best mall in the northern part of this island, its unassuming façade notwithstanding.
In the final stages of refurbishment, the mall now boasts more shops and a snazzier layout than before. With 8 stories of shops, inclusive of the basement level, it is unlikely to lack something you need, whether it is fashion, food, cinema, groceries, currency exchange, books and toys, electronics, telecommunication services, health and wellness products, or even pets!
Not as labyrinthine or pompous and garish as ION Orchard, Causeway Point provides an easygoing and pleasant shopping experience. The ongoing renovation may cause a little inconvenience, but judging from the areas that are done, it will be well worth it.
