PRICE: ADFORDABLE The original price for 3 churros is $ 4&6 for $ 7 is okay to me(even tho a discount will make it more affordable)! I got a discount coupon so i only paid $ 2 for 3(which just amde everything even better) but i would definitely go back even without the discount because its really good. FOOD: AMAZING The churros are nice and hot & the chocolate churros i had as well as the cheese churros were AWESOME. Chocolate ones were already so good & the cheese ones just brought everything to the next level. It also does not have the weird burnt taste that i smelt when i was eating churros at USS so it was a pleasant experience. Double thumbs up!(even wanted a third serving) OVERALL: SOGOOD DEFINITELY going back & even told myself i would love to go back and eat once a week. It is that good so do go give it a try!

Why buy a churro, when you can buy a you tiao(油条)? This is a pop-up café serving churros at the basement of the 112 Katong Mall. The décor is rather makeshift, with empty crates and wooden pallets doubling as furniture. The churros go for $ 4 for 3 pieces, or $ 7 for 6 pieces. You order and they are freshly fried right there and then. I’m told they’re going to be here till the end of February before moving elsewhere on the island. I think they still have a couple of kinks to work out, cos I found myself waiting 20 mins before they whipped up a batch. Taste wise, I felt they were alright, but a little on the chewy and doughy side. I also found $ 4 rather costly for 3 small pieces that were around 3 inches in length and less than an inch in diameter, and with a very small amount of chocolate sauce. Like the food fads before this, I think this churro craze has finally swept the island, cos I spy this humble Spanish snack served at a stall in Holland Village and on the dessert menu of many restaurants all over Singapore. The grammar nazi in me says that«churros» is plural, and the singular noun is «churro». Should the name of the café be «Churro Factory»? Legend has it that the Europeans did not manage to learn the art of stretching the dough from the Chinese during their travels to the Orient. Hence they had to extrude the dough through a star shaped nozzle before frying it. I really wanted to like this place, but it was way too pricey for the quality. Churros cost a dollar or less in most places in the Western Hemisphere. You’re better off getting a perfectly fried and fluffy you tiao. Your wallet will thank you.
