I was convinced by the fellow Unilocalers to try this place and while it was not bad I am not a huge fan as many others. First off the service is slow so if the new take on fast food is it not being fast then they got it right. When I was there I was the only customer and I still had to wait five minutes before being allowed to order and then it took 15 minutes to get the food. The burgers are of mixed quality. The regular beef ones are best forgotten, they are by no means bad but not really worth it as they are plain average. The very popular HJK(fries chicken shrimp sort of thing) is perhaps good but not at all my style so wouldn’t order again. The slider with minced meat, mushrooms, cheese and bacon on a longer brioche bun was the highlight as it was juicy and flavorful. The fries were just plain bad, soggy and over-seasoned and what’s up with not serving any without flavors(just plain salt would be good). Location is however good(in a mall on Orchard Road) so may still visit again.

5* beef burgers and 3* everything else. Since I come for the burgers it’s technically a 4.5*. This is how a burger should be done. Freshly baked bun, with the right toastiness, sweetness, size. Proper patty, grilled crunchy on the outside and soft and slightly red inside, with a good grill smell. Tomato sauce there to lubricate and otherwise get out of the way. Cheese in the right proportions. I have been coming since they open and the patty got smaller recently, so order the double decker. But the fries? I suggest the owners head to Bistro du Sommelier or even l’Entrecôte for a lesson. Then, it sucks not to have a non-flavoured version. Finally, both the garlic fries and BBQ fries are the same flavour: powdered cheese. I wonder if the curry fries(which we didn’t try) are the same except with curry leaves. Grab a burger and ignore the rest.

The burgers are definitely good. I personally like to stick with the beef, but their other varieties are also pretty worth. Would definitely spring for the truffle fries if I were you because: a) why would you not want truffle fries, and b) I don’t think the other flavors are that good.

Disappointing to say the least. With a line out the door but plenty of seating available, I was excited to finally try EWF with my wife. As a couple expats living in Singapore, I was crossing my fingers that this meal would exceed our already high expectations… it didn’t. The ordering process was elementary at best, as my wife’s Super Burger, cheese and ketchup only, took multiple minutes for cashier to figure out. Her order of truffle fries and a diet coke, was equally as tough to get into the register for the 30-something man behind register two. After I was able to simplify mine with a double, fries and diet coke, he convinced me the wings would be worth a try. I love a good up-sell as much as the other, so why not. Ordered. Upon receiving my order i picked up two orders of wings, truffle fries with little truffle and extra garlic, sodas not filled up and the two most well done burgers I’ve ever had. Again… disappointing! This has all of the makings of a great spot, but this experience plus the fact that the fries they use are frozen and in boxes, means I won’t be coming back. If FRIES is in your name, at least make them amazing and homemade! Expats, this place won’t impress you… not if you’re looking for something tasty.

I was really surprised at how amazing the food here was. I had the satay pork burger with truffle fries… holy moly! So good. Tons of garlic on the truffle fries, pork was the most tender. Absolutely delicious. Too bad this isn’t a thing in Cali!

I have come here a couple of times in the past two weeks and have had positive experiences both times. It was a great place to get a hamburger that was both inexpensive and a step up from fast food, both in taste and quality. The menu goes well beyond a beef hamburger and includes more local types of meat sandwiches. You order at a counter and have the option of making your hamburger a combo with fries and a drink. Its a pretty good deal overall. There are four varieties of fries(regular, curry, sour cream and onion, and garlic) plus a limited edition truffle fries. You pay at the counter and take a pager, which lets you know when your order is ready. My burger has been really good, both times. Not too big, but definitely an improvement from the likes of McDonalds, Burger King, etc. The toppings are fresh and the burger is very well put together. The burger was cooked to a medium done-ness so if you prefer something well done, you should probably let them know. They give you a huge helping of fries, making the combo a really good value. There is plenty of seating outside of the shop in the thoroughfare of Orchard Central. They serve you really quickly, so its also a great place if you need to have a quick meal. I definitely recommend stopping by if you want a casual and filling meal in the Orchard area and are craving a hamburger.

Generally good and not expensive hamburger options. The fries with the powder flavoring are not favorite

I had the Har Cheong Kai burger, with garlic fries and iced tea. Damn — the patty was juicy, well-seasoned, full of flavor, and everything went so well together. EWF is something like a more upscale fast-food restaurant, without your usual mass-produced run-of-the-mill cheeseburger and Coke. I found my garlic fries quite yummy, and they were the crispy, well-fried type, with heaps of garlic seasoning thrown on top. I did get quite thirsty, so I didn’t finish them. Would I come here again? Perhaps, for the quiet location and better-than-fast-food burgers. In the right moment, the burgers and fries taste delicious, but certain nights you’ll want something better… with less hype.

Located in the Orchard Central shopping centre near the entrance. This was one of my favourite places to pig out after a massive workout! My favourite was the HJK burger, it’s a deep fried crispy chicken with honey mayonnaise. So unhealthy, but so good! I also liked how you could choose what flavour your fries got seasoned with.

I’m not sure why it took months for EwF to grow on me. It’s in a good location(first floor of Orchard Central) and the food is very affordable($ 6-$ 8 for a burger.) Perhaps it was because we got off on the wrong foot. The first time I stopped by, I tried the sour cream and onion fries. They were pretty good, and big portioned, but that’s about it. Then I tried their lamb burger, but I didn’t think it was anything to Unilocal about. I didn’t notice any different flavors, and it was just okay. However, after yesterday’s discovery, they’ve won me over. I finally followed the instructions of past Unilocalers and ordered the HJK(har jeong kai burger) and the rest is history! What is the HJK? In western terms, it’s a fried chicken burger with hints of shrimp. I know that sounds weird, but once you bite into it, the shrimp/prawn flavor is very subtle. I was surprised at how juicy and crispy it was! It’s substantial and very messy, so I suggest grabbing a knife and fork to conquer it. I was super hungry when I ordered the HJK and I ended up not finishing it. If you have problems finishing food, I recommend ordering one meal and splitting it with someone. Their set meal is a very good deal. It comes with a lot of fries and a small drink for only $ 9.90. The only downsides I can think of is that they do run out of flavors for the fries. I stopped by late in the afternoon on Saturday and they ran out of 2 flavors. Also, the fries can have too much seasoning on them, so they might be too salty for some people. Will I end up going here more than McDonald’s? Only my Unilocal check-ins will tell!

Teenage hangout; i actually felt Old eating there. Nothing’s really worth it except the amazing Shrimp-paste Fried Chicken Burger. A tad salty but oh-so-delicious

i gotta recommend this particular juicy heavyweight. Friends have been asking me where i had such a yummy looking burger after seeing pictures of it. I was raving about it like a mad woman(that’s how awesome it is). So the secret is revealed– it is EwF’s Har Jeong Kai Burger! RWARRR! Har Jeong Kai is a typical Cantonese dish which is actually prawn paste marinated chicken(wings usually), served with the Chinese mayonnaise. EwF transformed this zi char staple into a burger form and i must say it is a wonderful adaptation. Think deep fried well marinated chunky whole chicken leg that is oh-so-juicy and satisfying with every single bite. The prawn paste is pungent and fragrant(really depends on your preference) and the batter is crisp and light. The patty is absolutely tender and juicy(i like to think it’s the essence of the chicken and not the oil)! And if i could direct your attention to the Chinese mayonnaise(it is not the usual western mayonnaise). It’s a slightly watery form, not as curdy as the western type, slightly sweet and translucent looking. Nice to see that EwF kept this traditional element of the dish because it really is the essence! For $ 9.95, you get an entire meal which includes the burger, the fries of your choice and a drink! Super Value Meal! Pick from 2 different cuts for the fries– shoestring and straight cut and five different flavors: Original, Curry, Salt & Vinegar, Sour Cream and Onion, Garlic and herbs. They are like shaker fries. Another of my love! :)) I tried the sour cream(best seller) and curry on 2 separate occasions. How can anyone say no to Curry fries with Western Mayonnaise! They only have this burger at the Orchard Central outlet. If you don’t want carbs, go for the HJK nuggets!

My cousin and I decided to try Everything with Fries for dinner as we heard many reviews about it long long ago, just that we are always too lazy to venture into the place. We went to the branch in Orchard Central, and was greeted enthusiastically by many people behind the counter. Ordered the Har Cheong Kai burger with curry fries. The portion was really big, and the fries were thick with the curry seasoning. The only complain is that the fried chicken is really really salty. It did not meet up with my expectation of it. .

Thoroughly sick of the usual fast food chains but need a really quick meal? Try EwF at Orchard Central! Orchard Central is probably one of the less visited malls around at the Orchard area. However once you step into the mall, you will be drawn to EwF by its ceramic white interior, with yummy desserts on display. The burgers served here is a little different, like har jeong kai burger. Try that for a change! If you are not sure what is better, just ask the staff for recommendation. The last I remember, the girls gave me a pretty good recommendation and were pretty helpful. The fries come in interesting flavors too! You need not wait till the occasional shaker fries to come along. The flavored fries here are already quite a treat. Oh! And you can settle your meal below $ 10! Great deal, for a pretty generous portion.

At first, I thought this was just like all the other Everything with Fries outlet. They have the same concept and the same staff. It wasn’t until I had the chance of watching my friend eat before it struck me that, hey, it’s actually different! The biggest difference lies with the mains — there are no other mains except for burgers here! They have everything else — milkshakes and desserts but just burgers for the mains. And the prices are really decent as well! A set meal costs only $ 9.90 and comes with your choice of drinks, 5 different flavours of fries and your choice of a burger. Having seen my friend order«The Slider», I decided to go with that and wasn’t disappointed! The moist minced beef patty with mushrooms and bacon sitting on a delightfully moist bun is probably one of the better burgers I’ve had in a long time. And what sets this apart from most fast food joints is that your food is prepared only when you order. So you make your order and pay up at the counter, then proceed to your seat, and when it’s ready, it’ll be delivered freshly to you. Simple and fuss free!

I get very jealous when i visit Everything With Fries(EWF). Look at the young bubbly girls running the show, always in cutesy fresh t-shirts. If it’s a tactic to attract groups of male customers, it’s working. Tsk tsk, what is this. And here I am chomping down fries. But I don’t care. Their fries are savoury and addictive. Think Pringles — once you start, you can’t stop. The fries come in a very generous portion, poured onto a white plate, peppered with whatever seasonings you ordered. The SOURCREAM&ONION is the best. There’re mayonnaise packs at the counter for your convenience too, great as additional fries dip. If you have a sweet-tooth and haven’t heard of their Nutella Tart, you should try it tomorrow. It is fully smeared with Nutella and one sinful serving is enough to satisfy your cravings. I’ve always enjoyed the clean, simple environment… Though one-time, Orchard Central wanted to chase customers away so they had a singing competition, and the stage unfortunately, was right next to EWF.

While this place is called ‘Everything with Fries’, I’m sorry to say I haven’t had the chance to try the fries yet, only because I keep getting distracted by one important thing: Nutella; namely the Nutella tart and Nutella shake. The Nutella tart has to be eaten on site, warm and fudgy and delectable to taste good. The Nutella shake is made to order and absolutely filling. EwF is a brand under the Awfully Chocolate umbrella so it’s not surprising that they do a mean chocolate. I also like the Orchard Central outlet for its ‘outdoor’ al fresco seating, where you remain comfortably ensconced in aircon just outside the shop — OC is a nice escape from the crowds of Orchard Road on a busy weekend.
