Stayed at St Regis for a weekend fun stay and had the SPG Platinum Cocktail as well as Breakfast at the La Brezza Restaurant. Personally I think the service and overall organization is subpar to begin with and for St. Regis Standards completely unacceptable. During the evening the staff left my table for over 1h unattended with dirty dishes on it and empty drinks. That a hotel like St Regis does not by standard serve fresh orange juice but rather a sugar emulsion OJ lookalike that give you Diabetes on sight is a shame. NOGO! Having the restaurant set up next to the pool… I’m not sure which genius came to the conclusion that this is a good idea but is was NOT. I don’t want to eat next to a loud pool environment, especially breakfast. Neither do I find it very comfortable to go swimming and sunbathing while appr 40 people have to watch that spectacle during their meal. Completely annoying and borderline inappropriate. The most disgusting thing I have ever seen though is the way the restaurant makes their guests cut the bread. There is a plastic glove with a magnet on it so it wont blow off the table. Yes, plastic! Imagine that every guest who want’s to cut bread has to put their hands in there and with the usual temperature and humidity we have here obviously you sweat in a plastic glove. After that you can enjoy picking up the bread and eat it with your hands. Again, disgusting not to say revolting. I am inclined to contact the health authority regarding this. Management for sure has received my comments. The quality of the food was meh, middle of the road and nothing spectacular. Most certainly not worth going to Tanglin for. There are MUCH better restaurants in the city so save yourself the disappointment. Avoid at all cost!

made a reservations for 5 but when we showed up, they did not have a record of it! luckily for us, they weren’t full but it took them quite a while to get a table organized. service continued to disappoint. they were slow and orders wrongly taken. food was average but price was above average. ambience was noisy and casual as they are situated right next to the hotel’s pool. their complimentary birthday dessert was a saving grace.

My parents happened to have some dining vouchers for the restaurants at St. Regis so we decided to head to La Brezza for a nice family dinner. The service was pretty good as the head waitress was tending to my table but it felt like they were a little short handed. I noticed that they took some time to clear the other tables that had been vacated. Anyway, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Marina pasta and its noodles felt more like mee pok than italian cuisine. It was bland and hugely disappointing. Also, they serve cucumber flavoured water but if you’re not a fan of it(like me) do tell them to serve you normal tap water.
