I have to admit the food is not very good and is over priced a little, but there is a great vibe and the rooftop is fantastic. It is very rough around the edges, but the staff are friendly and having been a regular at events here for the last few years, I am always greeted by name with a friendly smile, a firm handshake and a «welcome back». Prices are pretty reasonable for beers and the mocktail I tried the other day was pretty good indeed. It is a wonderful hidden gem of a rooftop where I feel like I am on vacation every time I am there — I will continue to return and enjoy it as a place to hangout with friends for a casual midweek pint.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism of the staff. Our table was told upon seated that the kitchen has closed and were only offered simple snacks like almonds and nachos. Yet minutes later, the next table could order extra servings of hot tapas items. Worse was when a table of Caucasian ladies that arrived after us were also served hot tapas which we were previously told was unavailable. Discrimination much. Not coming back ever again.

The food and drinks service is superb slow! We have to finish 1 drink before order the next and even after finishing, need to wait quite sometime for our next drink. Drinks came inconsistent, ordered 5paxs and delivered only 2 or 3. Our last ordered was only delivered 2 when we ordered 5 for 5 of us and we had finished our previous drinks. We end up paying for the last 3 drinks ordered.

I came here for a few drinks after work with a friend. I hadnt heard of it before and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised. Its kind of tucked away in busy little india. I havent found many bars in little india yet so I was happy to check it out. At first the downstairs seemed small and cramped but the upstairs had lots of room on the roof. It was nice and comfortable(the place not the weather). The beer prices were reasonable and its nice to get a little free food with your drinks. To be honest its hard to find many great options among the free tapas but there were a couple ok ones. Yes they are small but they are free so what do you expect. I enjoyed the chicken wings. They were spicy and good. The patatas bravas were ok but not exactly authentic. I really enjoyed the pizza here. There was a beef and garlic dish we had that was tasty as well. For sure some of the dishes were flat but I really enjoyed others. I found the service to be fine, especially by singapore standards. They were quick to get drinks and food. I wouldnt call them overly attentive but they seemed to be working hard. I know this isnt an aunthentic spanish tapas restaurant but they still had some good dishes that I enjoyed. I drank beer not sangria so cant comment on that. To be honest I’ve always found sangria to be a waste of money because I rarely even get a buzz of it. Overall if I could give 3.5 stars I would but the nice atmosphere and some of the dishes pushed it up for me. As a restaurant I’d give it 3 but as a drinking spot I’d give it 4. Id visit it again.

Zsofi boast of their free tapas with alcohol but don’t be too excited about it. The standard of the tapas is mediocre and portion is small(what do you expect, when it’s free). We ordered the Champagne based Sangria. It tasted a little weird, definitely no trace of champagne. Food wise, the Paella Valecia is not bad, generous portion of seafood and the rice was well-flavoured. The Southern Comfort Beef pizza is like Bolognese on pizza, quite a comfort food. However, the pizza crust is neither thick dough nor thin crust. I would describe the texture as «biscuit-feel». The only thing I liked about this place is the outdoor seats. It feels like rooftop of a chill backpackers dorm with simple wooden furniture and non-fancy plants. In conclusion, this place is good only if you are going for dinner or meet-ups around the corner and just wanted to look for a place to chill with friends.

I had some pre-dinner drinks at Zsofi’s with a colleague. So, this is not a review of the dining experience here. We were sitting on the roof. This is a nice spot to wile away an hour having a drinking and enjoying the warm weather. In a city of shiny and new, this rooftop maintains a real old world feel. Drinking is really never affordable in Singapore. But they make the cost of beer a little more palatable by supplying some free tapas. We had the Spanish tortillas and potatoes bravas. They were as good as some I recently paid for at a hipster tapas bar. Nothing to write home about and certainly not authentic(well not for the potatoes) but they made for something nice to munch on and to help stave off the hunger pains before making it to dinner. The service was pretty good. It was pretty early so it wasn’t very busy. For me, if you are eating around Little India, this is a good place to kick off the evening with a drink or two.

This place was all the rage a year or two ago, and boy, I guess that’s gotten to it’s head. Then, it wasn’t easy to get a table, but I guess that was all right. there was always the roof, which had a great view, and a decent breeze now and then. Free tapas with every drink wasn’t a bad idea either. My last visit was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back — the sangria wasn’t the tasty concoction chock-full of fruit as I remembered, and they were playing some crazy techno on the roof. In a tapas bar? Why?

I am sorry to give this place such a low review. But the food is terrible. I wish I could like it more because its such a cool space. Located in Little India, the restaurant is an old shophouse that has a cool vibe and chill rooftop area. The interior is cozy and the rooftop is really nice. But the food is another story. The place claims to be a ‘tapas bar’. The pizza is decent. But honestly, if you are going to call yourself a tapas bar, at least learn how to make Spanish food. The patatas bravas were APPALLING. Again please do not call the dish patatas bravas if you are going to top it with nacho cheese and bacos(vegetarian bacon bits). Honestly while I was eating, I could not fathom that they called this tapas, let alone patatas bravas. Zsofi, fix your food if you want to call yourselves a tapas bar.

I must admit that I spend more time than I should at Zsofi’s. There is nothing spectacular about the offerings at Zsofi’s, although the seafood pizza is quite good. Everything else is quite average, and the appeal of the free tapas that come with your drinks is quickly diminished when you see the list you can choose from — not terribly inspiring. Do yourself a favour and order from the main menu as these tiny, free portions are not going to allow you to last the night. Still, I visit often because the set-up is worth it. They have an expansive rooftop space which is exactly how I like my bars to be. Being in Singapore’s backpackers’ area has also led Zsofi’s to organise traveller ‘show and tells’ on occasion, and this is a great way to hear inspiring travel stories. However, service has deteriorated dramatically of late, and often it is difficult to even locate service staff to place an order.

This is a great place for a good after office friday night hangout with friends. The rooftop gives you a nice cozy ambience while the tapas and drinks are tasty and affordable(when you come in a group that is) Came here with 3 other friends. We had some tapas, a seafood paella and the zsofi’s favourite pizza(sun dried tomatoes, chicken, olives & cheese topping). If you order a drink, you can choose a free tapas off the menu. You could also order a jug of sangria and get 3 plates of tapas free! One jug can serve 4 people. The tapas servings are pretty small, so it might probably make you order more drinks to get more free tapas! They were also kind of forgettable. What was memorable was the paella and the pizza. The paella dish had deliciously flavoured rice and came in a generous portion. The pizza was nicely thin crusted and had a lovely charred flavour to it. You can get to Zsofi easily from Little India Mrt — take the tekka market exit, go along serangoon rd and turn right to dunlop st and walk all the way to no. 68! Parking along dunlop st would be a hassle because only parallel parking spaces are available and its a really busy st! Final verdict: Gather a group of friends to get an affordable and satisfying spanish feast!

Zsofis is hidden on the rooftop in the midst of the Little India Backpackers area — it feels like you’re in your own little world, hidden up in this little open-air perch. I’ve always enjoyed the Spanish way of free tapas with your drink. The tapas here are decent, though my favourite dish of the night was non-tapas — the Gambas dish which is prawns, olive oil and a bit of chilli… yum!

Zsofi, in a nutshell: terrible tapas(but at least it’s free with your drinks), OK range of bottled beers, not great sangria, AMAZINGROOFTOP. That’s the only reason anybody goes there, I think. Good vibe. It could have been better.
