Three stars may be a little stingy but I didn’t see a great reason to give four. The design of the outside is way cool. The interior of my room was a bit Spartan but certainly adequate. The windows are a bit weird and small, a consequence of that cool outside, I suppose. The restauirant and bar was closed when I arrived around 23:30, so no way to get a beer, but they sell water and soft drinks as well as some basic food items out of a fridge. The breakfast was normal for a Swedish hotel(which means it beats most hotels in most countries). Parking is not included, you pay for it in a nearby lot. No discount for hotel guests.(Stockholm public transportation is pretty good so the best solution to that is trying to do without a car.) The free wi-fi was broken when I arrived but the reception people told me it was worked on and indeed, a bit later it worked fine. I did not have the problem of repeatedly having to re-enter user name and password for the wi-fi that another guest complained about. Maybe they upgraded their technology.

Such a nice hotel — just a shame it’s in Kista! First of all, the architecture is beautiful… I can’t keep my eyes off of it every time we drive to Arlanda. We have driven by so many times, so it was nice to finally see the inside. which matches the outside — very modern and cool. Furniture, rooms, restaurant at the top of the tower — all very nice… The service is great as well! I suppose this is for people coming to conventions at the Kistamassen or to work with one of the many many corporate companies with headquarters located in Kista. Plenty of taxi’s out front, walking distance to the subway.

Super modern hotel, the hotel has the name Victoria tower, and this is clear to see why. Super clean rooms, stylish furniture(Montana cupboards and desk) with a great view over the Swedish countryside. The area around it seems to be the silicon valley of Stockholm loads of IT companies. The hotel has good parking but looked like this is pay as you go, But lots of taxis outside if you don’t have a car with you, there is also the possibility to loan a bike. The Sky bar on the 43Rd floor has to been tried, even if you don’t like heights :-) A good restaurant that has a limited menu, but what they have is done well, Scandic hotels have had their menus designed by Mr Jamie Oliver(UK chef) The Menu is presented on a Ipad, this is the first time I have seen that(Cool) The breakfast(included in the price) has a great selection of hot and cold choices and was easy to get a seat. Two things that has troubled me since I have arrived: 1. You can’t turn of the aircon in the room(thought I was back in the US) and it does not seem to matter what temperature you set it to its always cold and making a noise, To be fair I did not ask to have this fixed,(im used to it) 2. The WIFI network is a username /PW setup meaning every time your device goes to sleep or if you move from one Access point to the next, you have to login again :-(It‘s 2012WHY? Apart from this, a super hotel, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere for such a large hotel(299 rooms) I will for sure use this hotel again next time I am in the area.
