Abrick is not like many other bakeries it is instead a macaroons showcase. This minimalistic shop, or ratter space, painted entirely in white wants to lead your immediate attention to a counter where these gluten free light and fluffy cream-​filled sandwich cookies are the stars. Sometimes they are accompanied by cupcakes and occasionally by éclairs but mostly and mainly what are on display here are macaroons. All the bake gods are delish in fact so much so unless you are early all other except the macaroons are gone! But don’t worry the macaroons aren’t in any way consolation prizes! Abrick offers, to name just a few, classical flavored macaroons such as dark chocolate, lemon or pistachio as well as innovative and unexpected flavors such as champagne, rose water or fudge and sea salt. And if you are willing to buy larger batches then the list of flavors become ridiculously and deliciously long; how about pomegranate, cardamom or lavender?!
