Café Facile

I’ve been to Café Facile twice now. Between my first and second visits, it’s become very popular and more difficult to book. The food remains good but the increase in popularity has resulted in what I can only describe as a great deal of anxiety among the staff. They’ll tell you not to be late when you call to book and they’ll remind you that you have until a certain time to finish when you walk in the door. Then, if you aren’t moving through your meal quickly enough, they’ll come and remind you once again that they want you out of there by a certain time. All in all, the second experience was not as pleasant as the first. I would definitely not go again.

Very good food, with lots of nice touches. Not too expensive either. Dependable selection of wines. Only grumbles would be the lack of vegetables and no espresso coffee

Good place! Very cosy, decent prices and tasty! Small tables, people close to each other, lively and easy. Liked this place.

I liked this place the very second I walked through the (cool, swinging, half) doors. This is definitely a winter spot. The lighting creates such a warm ambiance! It’s a small place, with tight seating but it actually isn’t that loud considering, which is nice. You order your own food at the register and they bring it out when it’s ready. The didn’t have many beers but they were all nice and a good price. About the same or less as a stor-​stark at many other places in the «downtown» area. The mixed drink of the day was really nice — both a great color and taste!
I had the steak frites and it was very good and very reasonably priced. The portion isn’t very big but the quality is. All the dishes seemed nicely garnished as well. I felt like trying the dessert and I wasn’t blown away but again the presentation was really nice. I went against my inner voice when I chose so that has something to do with it.
Met some locals who were very friendly (and it’s always nice when a place has the sort of environment that inspires random conversation with your dining neighbors) and they said they come about once a week, so I don’t think I am alone when I say it is the type of place you want to come back to. Check it out!
*I almost forgot, this place is a highlight on the Dyson Airblade World Tour. It has the only model of its kind I have ever seen and while it’s not as intelligently designed as the standard model it is worth checking out! Beware the storm!
