This place has some good burgers, and they should get credit for it. However, this place is severely overhyped, meaning crowded, and there are definitely better burger places in town. When we were there, they had three beers on tap, two were out! Logistics problems! The founders claim to have toured the US to find the best burgers to bring back to Stockholm. This tour must be seen as a failure as the result is an average of an average burger. There are MUCH better burgers to be found back in the US in about every town you might visit, but maybe the wanted to create that average American taste. Yes, it’s a lot better than your average Swedish burger, which wouldn’t even pass the test as a hamburger. So if you are looking for a burger in town that tastes American, you will find it here. Expect it to be of very average American quality though i.e. above Swedish quality. Depending on your preferences, home sickness, vacation preparations etc this might a good fit for you. It is very American after all.

Way overpriced and overhyped. The Burgler was good — especially by Swedish standards — but no better than a $ 5 burger from a decent American burger joint. Mine was well-done, a good burger should be cooked medium. The ‘Flippin Burger’ my girlfriend got was even worse — it was cooked even more and tasted like a mcdonalds burger due to sauce /mustard /onion they put on it. Fries were ok comparable to mcdonalds fries. The place has a good atmosphere and staff is friendly. But it was not worth the 45 minute wait and 250kr. Nevertheless, glad I went to see what all the fuss was about!

Homesick for an American burger, I thought this was going to be my go-to fix from all the glowing reviews and recommendations. Nope. First we waited an hour in a room full of sad people tired of waiting an hour for a freaking burger. Strike 1. When we finally sat down we were told they were out of cheese fries(it was 6:00). Strike two. I ordered a medium burger on a gluten free bun. What I got was a dry underseasoned hockey puck on a raw and dry crumbly bun(PLEASE grill or toast gluten free buns people!). Strike three and four. I had to soak it in mustard to even swallow it. Strike five. My burger from the an airport Burger King was better. Strike 6! Two stars for the milkshake. One star for the possibility that they only do medium rare burgers on regular buns REALLY well.

So Ive been looking forward to trying Flippin burger since my arrival in Sweden. It seems to be the most recommended burger joint in Stockholm and my aim is to explore the city an find the best places to bring my friends and family when they visit. My plan was to not allow the hype around this restaurant to push my review in a particular direction and to treat it like a place I had just walked into passing by. So let’s begin with the wait. 45 minute wait on a Wednesday evening. Now I had read that this was the case so despite this usually making me go the opposite direction I had come here specifically so I looked past this and got a drink while I waited. It was a really good Lemmy lemonade but took a long time to order. When our names got called we got given a seat at the bar. I hadn’t realized that you gotta ask specifically for a table when you give them your name so after a 45 minute wait, looking forward to getting a seat this was pretty disappointing. Once we were seated it took a further 10minutes to get someone’s attention to take our order. So I ordered the beanie burger. This bean burger costs 100sek(about € 11) and it doesn’t come with anything. Your fries are a further 35sek(about € 4.50). My partner got there Flippin burger which was 140sek(about € 15). Thing is these burgers weren’t huge they were average sized, so for the price I would have expected them to come with fries included. The beanie burger was good. Really nice bun, I love that they make there own cheese but the patti was dry and a bit lacking in flavor. My partners burger was described as good but nothing amazing. We also ordered a milkshake, cookie dough with jack Daniels. This was by far the highlight of the meal. Really good. However last call for drinks were taken at 9, a full hour before closing at 10. For me, this place lacks something, whether that be more attentive service, more unique menu options, better value for your money, cleaner bathrooms(this visit included a overflowing bin, dirty floor, badly ventilated and very dingy), better seating. who knows but I do know that I won’t be bringing my friends and family here, because of all the above reasons. I hope to not have to rely on this as being the«best burgers in Stockholm» for long. Sadly this didn’t deliver on the high reputation it has managed to grow.

Nice but not so special… Especially if you eat hamburger somewhere else then Sweden. So if You don’t need to wait an hour to get a seat, it might be a good option to grab a hamburger

In Stockholm for the second time, looking through a variety of restaurants and having to choose one is no easy task. I went with Flippin’ Burgers, I knew I wanted to take out since a few Unilocalers kept pointing out the wait times at this place, and they were not lying. I arrived and stood there not knowing what to do since I didn’t know where one orders for take out, after like 5 minutes the girl seating everyone gives me an English menu and I went with the«cricket burger», it took approximately 10 minutes for my order to be ready, then I headed out. The burgers are heavy, and on the first bite you can taste how soft the meat and the buns are, the sweet onions, the jalapeños, but those most have been the mildest if not the weakest jalapeños I’ve had, then another ingredient hit me, the cream cheese. i think I’ll have to say no to this, but that’s just my opinion. When I think cream cheese I think bagels NOT burgers, the cream cheese just kills the flavor in the rest of the burger, it’s just there not enhancing anything. The fries are basically something like Mcdonald fries, overall it was a real good burger I cannot lie, but like I said, the cream cheese, just no. Would I come back to this place next time I find myself in Stockholm? Of course, it really made me want to try other burgers.

Flippin’ Burgers in Stockholm near Odenplan rightly have a reputation for doing delicious burgers. I would go again anytime to have a flippin’ great single-patty cheese burger with flippin’ tasty fries. If I just would not have to queue… What do you do when you are in Stockholm? Queueing for a burger, obviously. I kind of stopped queueing for burgers in London. By now, there are simply enough good options, so mostly there is no need to wait, just walk a few minutes instead. But when I went back to Stockholm last year, I finally wanted to find out how good Flippin’ Burgers really is. The location is very convenient near Odenplan. I asked about how long I would have to wait, and at first I was told that it could be 45 minutes. I still stayed around, and and then got a place at the bar after just about 20 minutes. Luckily, I could at least wait inside for most of the time. Flippin’ Burgers has a very short menu. You do not have much choice at all. I went for the simple cheese burger. It was excellent, it came without unneccesary additions — after all, I ordered a burger, not a salad, right? The brioche bun was nice and soft, coping very well with the single patty in my cheese burger. The burger actually was surprisingly easy to eat, it’s always a positive surprise to have a lovely burger that is not messy to eat. I decided to add fries and a Fentimans Cherrytree Cola. While I, of course, wanted to practise my patchy Swedish, all staff were really friendly and spoke perfect English. The fries were crunchy and as delicious as fries can be. Overall, I think Flippin’ Burgers do very tasty burgers that could compete with most of the top burgers I had in London in the past five years. So, while I was not too happy about the wait, my dinner was satisfying and I can only recommend Flippin’ Burgers to anyone who likes a decent burger. I would be surprised if they would not branch out soon and open other shops after they seem to be very successful with their first location.

The hamburger was OK, but definitely not worth the wait, the size and the price. Go to Max instead!

Ahh, I had to take one last shot at getting the Flippin’ review right. I have eaten many hamburgers here throughout all the seasons and I feel it’s time to give this place back the credit it deserves. They absolutely make the best hamburger I’ve ever had. Not always, but usually. It’s one of the only places in Stockholm that I get overly excited about and will drop all plans, offend friends, and ignore a call from my Mother to go to. It’s just that good when they are on. The milkshake is ALSO the best I have ever had. The strawberry cheesecake is just mind-blowing. And the fudge brownie and vanilla are also very good(not a huge fan of the cookie dough despite being a huge fan of that ordinarily). I have yet to taste a milkshake anywhere that rivals what Flippin’ does with these every time. You would think this would be a simple thing to emulate but apparently it’s not, because no one can. The one thing I can say about Flippin’ that is troublesome is that the taste of their burgers definitely changes around October or November. I went here several times last Fall and was consistently disappointed that something didn’t taste the same. I put the question to them and they though it could be that once it gets cold, the cows stop free-ranging and get fed indoors and probably have a different diet. Some might scoff at that as an answer, but I actually buy it because Flippin’ has designed their burgers in most cases to show off the quality and taste of the meat. And when you have grass-fed beef from Götland that is aged and prepared on-site at Flippin’ why would you do anything but that? But it is a shame that after some delicious burgers this Summer, I went in again recently and the signature taste was missing again. Some people don’t like their fries. For me, they are perfect. They took McDonald’s fries and made them slightly less deadly to your cardiac system. This is entirely subjective. They are add-ons to the burger. They have a great selection of beer, including some much loved options from Colorado and California, where beer was meant to be made. They also have PBR :) Finally, the staff is always very friendly. And why shouldn’t they be? People come in here and leave full and happy. The serve delicious food and it’s always popular and busy. The line is long, I get it. Sometimes you wait an hour, sometimes you wait longer than an hour. Sometimes you wait 15 – 20 minutes. This is the price you pay(besides the other price you pay) to taste burger experience perfection. You will not get what you get here anywhere else because no one else can pull it off. This is where you should eat when you are in Stockholm.

I am joining in: this is a fabulous place! Seriously the best burgers in Stockholm. I really like that they go all the way. Every detail is thought of. The food, the location, the restaurant, the furniture, the staff, the menus. Nothing is left behind. Therefore you can rely on getting very fresh and carefully cooked food, a friendly smile from the staff, and a joyful meal! The food then: I mean the meat… the meat. they work with small cattle farms in Sweden who will provide the best meat there is in Sweden. It’s so juicy and delicious. The bread. Baked by one of the best bakers in Sweden. Freshly delivered 7 days a week. Completely organic as well. The ice cream: Ben & Jerrys… mmm… The beer/wine/soft drinks: both well known choices as well as small brands makes your eyes wander around the shelves, making it hard to decide what you want this time. Since this place is all about quality, and good food, there will be a lot of people here. The audience is very mixed, families with children, hipsters, teenagers with skateboards, grandmothers/grandfathers. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for your table, but it’s definitely worth it. Just go to the bar and order a «wait beer», which is a smaller beer you can sip on until you table is ready. I have been here several, several times, and I have never been disappointed. «One cricket for me please!» :)

Hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Slightly overpriced, but so worth it. Restaurant is always packed, but the staff are always cheery and welcoming. Burgers came out quickly, and were great! The meat patty is handmade and literally falls apart when you bite into it(in a good way!!). Great selection of craft beers, and the milkshakes are great too!

I enjoyed my first burger at this restaurant this week and was very positively surprised. As many wrote it is a quite crowded place and we as a party of two had to wait for some 15 minutes until we got a table outside. The service was very friendly and fast. Food arrived quickly as well. Now to the burger: the bread was really fluffy and comes from a well known bakery in town. The meet was juicy and the topping very fresh. There are not a lot of choices on the menu so it could get boring. We also had a veggi burger which only was average. I ended the dinner with a ben&jerrys chocolate fudge brownie milkshake which was awesome! All in all a great visit, could though get boring in case you visit often.

This place is definitely worth a visit! The staff was really and friendly, the interior is cool and it isn’t overpriced unlike everything else in Stockholm. I had a Veggie burger and it was seriously the best burger I have ever had. If you go here make sure to try one of of the Ben & Jerrys Milkshakes! I normally don’t like milkshake but this one was just sooooo yummy.

The burgers are actually awesome and well worth the wait. They have a fairly long list of diverse and interesting beers, so there is plenty to do(drink) while waiting for a table. The fries were pretty good, but the servings are huge, so sharing one for two people(girls) is more than enough. The staff were all very friendly and the service was fast.

I did it. I finally did it. After months of wanting to try this place out I finally made it out. First off, the burgers were extremely delicious. A thick patty of juicy meat and soft bread that doesn’t get in the way. That right there makes a perfect burger. What I didn’t love about the burgers is how boring they were. Sure, they had The Cricket which was topped with cream cheese and jalapeños, which was super tasty. Sure, their Månadens Burgare had mashed avocado, pepper jack cheese, and jalapeños. However, those were our only options if not for the original or veggie burger. I wasn’t super enticed by any of the more ‘flavorful’ options, and because they were so similar, I had a really hard time choosing. When I had the fries, I was so pleased. I remember reading a review that said they tasted like frozen fries. They may very well be frozen fries, but this isn’t called Flippin’ Fries, it’s Flippin’ Burgers! Frozen or not, they were perfectly fried and deliciously crispy. A perfect addition to a great burger. Now, I had my doubts about my last item. Let me just say that as soon as I saw Ben & Jerry’s I knew I was getting myself a shake no matter how full I was after my burger. I got myself a Cone Sweet Cone shake and loved the fact that the shake wasn’t super thick and difficult to drink. Nothing makes me angrier than sipping through a straw and nothing comes through. Even though I knew that the choice of ice cream was what made it, this shake is what bumped up the review to 5 stars. Kudos to Fippin’ Burgers for choosing such a magnificent brand to make shakes with. And bless the person who topped my shake with that delicious whipped cream and fantastic sauces. And God bless Ameri– I mean Flippin’ Burgers.

I apologize beforehand — I cannot asses the quality of the meat, but rather the quality of mixture that vegetarians call meat. In case of Flippin’ Burgers it was very good mixture in terms of usefulness: flour, kidney beans and chipotle chilis as it is gluten, egg and dairy free, allowing more people to touch the wonderful world of Flippin’ Burgers. But here comes huge BUT: it does not taste good. From the other side, when nyttig food tasted good? All cool things are either illegal or make you fat :) My very special advice to vegetarian that goes there with meat-eaters: do not let your meat-eater friends try to taste the thing vegetarian call«meat» — very high chance of unappropriate comparisons to appear. Anyway, the burger bread was the best I tried so far: soft and juicy inside, crisp on the edges is just right. The BREAD. Obs! If you want to buy for«take-away», go directly and order at the bar, do not let the guy in the entrance to sign you in the list. Obs #2! They do not have any mineral water for«take-away», only CocaCola and similar:(
